Product Overview
Combining the latest technology and excellent performance, this AEG heat pump tumble dryer is a great choice. Its 8kg drum means it’s ideal for medium-sized households, and its A+ efficiency rating makes it kind to the environment too. With heat pump technology, the hot air created inside the drum is recycled to dry your clothes, instead of using a traditional heating element, making it the most efficient way to dry. Intelligent ProSense® Technology uses sensors to work out the best drying conditions for laundry too, by automatically adjusting settings to create a perfectly tailored cycle for the load.
Thanks a lot 😃 Very useful the part of how to empty the water container 👌
I'm so happy for you on the receivership of this laundry pair. Congratulations Roger and good luck to you.
Yes, I was lucky to get the matching pair, even though my previous machines were working fine.
Just got one of these. It arrives in two days. I'm happy it has the time dry! When I try and dry wash clothes the dryer kept turning off and said they were dry 5min later. Was a massive pain
I never use the timed drying function. As long as you select the correct programme and drying level everything comes out dry in my experience of using this machine.
They both look very fancy and packed with technology. You should do a update video after 6 months, it would be nice to know if they both working fine. My washing machine broke down after many years of service. The engineer that come out to repair said once fixed should last for a long time. He said the new machines have to much technology but don't last as long.
GrumpyMan's REVIEWS they really don't last as long, you would be extremely lucky to get 5 years out of a appliance with what is now on the market
@@crazyaboutrandomnessyou're grossly mistaken, most of these machines will last 7 years +, crappy models from hotpoint and beko are more likely to last under 5 years.
@@rikipatel4340 we have had ours for 5.5yrs and still going strong, do the service maintenance and clean out filters regularly and it should last a lot more.
@@crazyaboutrandomness It prob still works
Nice dryer. We have wide hoses that go up the wall and through the attic and vents out the side of the house. Lint gets trapped and it is a pain to clean out. Would love this type of dryer.
I changed my mind buying AEG.
1hr 40 mins and the clothes are not dry ,this seems to be the issue with heat pump dryers ,they maybe super efficient , but bloody useless at drying compared to a standard condensing dryer ,some people are willing to wait an age for the clothes to dry and save money me I’d rather dry quick and pay more ,personally a large house hold with the washing machine on the go most the time ,especially in the winter the heat pump dryers are not suitable and would be running them 24hr a day to keep up ,
Could you tell me how long to dry a duvet. ?
I like this video. Not only the machine, also the good life attitude and life quality.
where do you get all of that?
Thanks . Nice video. Perfect explanation.
Your channel is a gem ♦️ very usefull every second counts
appena acquistata e devo dire che è ottima . Grazie per il video
Excellent guidance will be blessed
I'd never wash my jeans with soft cottons. The jeans are heavier and there's friction in the washer so the jeans would win by pulling and piling the softer fabric. Dad owned a dry cleaning factory and sorted by weight.
I've never had a problem washing jeans with other laundry.
thank you for your demonstration... I just purchased the units.. dryer and washer.... but I was struggling a bit of the "not 100% dry" when the cycle is done.... even putting it on the sun dry display... I have a solider that comes home for two days...he can't pack damp clothes back into his bags??? is there any tips you may have... not even sure if you will see this message?
I don’t often have the problem of things not drying first time. I tend to use the cotton programme and press the dryness button until the full sun symbol shows. Make sure the filter is cleaned after every use and of course empty the water container. Also make sure you don’t overload the dryer as that can result in clothes coming out partly damp.
I have same problem.
I have this machine in New Zealand, except I have just discovered the 'duvet' setting doesn't exist and I instead have 'sport'. My concern is, can I dry feathers / down?
Very interesting. I have a question. If you choose a program and the dryer detects that the clothes are dried, does the machine automatically turn off? My dryer never ends the program. And it send me messages of clean the filter and empty the deposit (I have a tube to the sink) is this normal? Thank you
Yes, the dryer should turn off when the clothes are dry.
another great video! Thanks for uploading! i think it's a lot quieter than their older models
Could you make an video of the Wool and Silk cycle in this dryer please? It's absolutely amazing!
Possibly when I have some wool jumpers to wash.
Just got mine today. Question is at the end of the dry cycle the Fan blinks and seems a bit loud. Does this also happen on your machine?
thanks great demonstration much appreciated
Verry cool 😎 dryer Do u still have the washer as well Can u record a full wash cycle and dryer too
Can you show how to deactive the alarm?
Sheets are still not dry enough, how can I pop.them back and dry only for a short period to achieve better dryness?
You could use the manual timed programme, but I personally just take the sheets out and rearrange them and put them on the cottons cycle with the dryness level set at full sun.
We have this dryer in Spain and we have really struggled with getting things dry fast. I know its eco but my god it takes forever! Can you advise the best/hottest setting to get mainly bedding dry!
It’s a heat pump tumble dryer and will take a long time to dry, especially bigger loads. As far as I know, the cotton setting would be hottest, though the dryer doesn’t really get hot in the way a traditional high wattage tumble dryer would. I still use this machine and I don’t have any problems with it how long it takes, but I tend to set and forget it as it’s in my garage. Heat pump dryers will take a long time to dry items, especially a full cotton load, they are much kinder to fabrics but no good for people who have several loads to dry and want them dried in a hurry.
Hi, does it need to be connected to a pipe? And what do you think for the combi ones? Washer and dryers?
this and the washer I believe do have an app that goes with them they both have a symbol on them suggesting they do
Instead of having my 2year indesit I brought two AEG models (its this one which you have and the washing machine) from AO for a discount of £125.00
It's a very better life with AEG I wish it was controlled from phone
When a dryer says max x kg does that also mean the water contents of the clothes or the weight if they were dry?
update: it means when the clothes are dry
I have a hoover washer and dryer what both match
Hi. From your Beko tumble dryer video you said that you chosen a Beko because it has revere spinning and wouldn’t get your bedding balled up but it still did?
Has your's stopped after a few minutes and beeped twice? Do you know why that happens?
how do you turn on or off child safety function?
Hi, I've purchased both the washer and matching dryer. I'm disappointed with the dryer. The clothes are still very damp at the end of the sensor dry. Also, if I don't leave a window open there is moisture running down the walls. Is this normal?
It’s not normal for moisture to run down the walls when using this dryer in my experience. Also did you know that you can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor so the clothes come out dryer than when just setting the programme. If you want them dry enough to put away, then you need to press the dryness button until a full sun symbol appears. My clothes and bedding have always come out dry after adjusting the setting.
@@ibaisaic Thank you for your reply. The clothes are also still very damp using the wool selection, unfortunately you can't turn up the dryness. I'm beginning to wonder if the sensor is faulty
@@ibaisaic do you have to adjust that sensitivity every single time you use it or once done will it retain that in its memory
Can you do a demo of the LG Centum
Within first wash what can of programs
Why my one takes 3 hours to dry completely ??
Where's the Beko keep it as a spare or just sell it
I've sold it.
Exactly which model is it is that you’re demonstrate
Okay wow 1:42 is pretty quick für an 8 kg load. My Bosch takes I guess it was 3:06 for a 7 kg load at cupboard dry
He didn't measure the actual time the dryer uses for its work. We just see the estimated time, and then later the dryer is ready. Would need a separate stop to get the actual drying time. Also you can see that the garment was not really dry after the dryer finished its work. So to be fair, a comparison should show the same amount of washing dried to the same grade. Many heatpump dryers are known to not dry very good with default settings. It's just for the brochure...
I have this machine and the actual time might be as much as 6 hours. I have cleaned the filter etc. The condenser gets dirty after a couple of years of use. It is difficult to clean because it cannot be removed
@@srh2301 No, thats the amazing thing on AEG dryer... They do everything to the perfection, only one example: It dries better and as quick as a condensor and vented dryer, and perfectly dried to the selected dryness level.
@@tomcygnel Thats impossible! What model do you have?
Hi ,, my dryer AEG siras 8000 stop medal of operation
when come the video of the karcher wd 3800 eco!ogic ? can you buy this vacuum in the uk?
I have no plans to buy a Karcher vacuum cleaner.
Hi, I have got exactly this AEG Dryer but have difficulties drying Bedlinen. They turn into a ball and the dryer will switch off once the outside is dry but inside it is all still wet. If I shake it out and put it in again it does the same thing which is very frustrating. HELP PLEASE :)
My Dryer will only dry towels for me sofar :( but my matching washing machine I can't fault at all, very happy :)
Do you use it on the bed linen setting?
Yes@@ibaisaic
Great video. Do you reckon an 8kg dryer will handle a 9kg washing machine load ? The price difference between an 8 and 9kg dryer is like £200 for an Aeg one or there is cheap beko but don't know how long it will last .....
No 8kg is specific to AEG anything over will be displayed until 8kg and under is met
Alô.. Wi the machine continuous working after the program is over? Tks
This is to reduce creasing because the clothes don’t crush each other if it wasn’t taken out immediately. It’s a great feature.
Does anybody know how can your reverse the door direction?
how can clean under the filter???
This is a dehumidifier with a drum - same principle, would like to have one as I like environmentally friendly things ☺️ said to be more greener than standard vented/condenser types. I currently live with my family (parents & brothers) and have a indesit washer-dryer IWDE7145S, mostly used as a washer - my mum only uses the dryer function to fluff up hand/bathroom towels - the rest is hung on the washing line/in the house. We avoid using the dryer function because of the amount of energy it uses - why the vented/condenser types are disliked. The type of condenser used in this is very old (deprived from the steam age) - a fan, column and mister;
At the start of the cycle, a centrifugal fan turns on, blowing the air in a closed circuit, the washers heating element heats up the air, then drawn into the bottom of a long column - up the side of the drum, a mister (at the top of the column) sprays cold water into the oncoming air and apparently dehumidifies it 🤨, then the aforementioned fan (above the mister) blows the air back into the top of the drum. Beam engines from the days of old used this to condense the used steam (minus the fan). I don’t know how efficient it is as taking out the things being dried felt warm and damp until wafted in the indoor air and then it would feel dry, halfway through the cycle. Mum was confused with the cooling down cycle - the time remaining would jump from 1min to 15mins and would take the things out and stop the cycle.
The other day when the machine had finished washing and I took the laundry out, had some left over after running out of places to hang them up and it was cold and raining outside. So I put the remaining back in the machine and put it on a drying cycle to see if it worked and it did - the wafting bit was done in the cooling cycle, though it a lot longer than what I did, (15mins as stated) and would come out feeling damp and hot, and after cooling down would then feel dry, the machine was hot and smelt damp. I also did a cupboard dry cycle; it heats the laundry and does a short spin before it starts condensing & heating?
The misting is heard as a hmm (small pump) and it turns on the drain pump to drain out the water (done in intervals) and the fan is quiet - faint purr.
The machine is in a cupboard and this doesn’t help with the cooling.
We got this Indesit w/d when we had our kitchen replaced about 5 years ago?
And it’s still going 😮 (wow, I’m amazed)
Apparently I read in the which magazine that AGE had made/combined a w/d with a heat pump dryer function. Much more effective and economical ☺️ won’t be long as the other manufacturers will try to copy them? Maybe when the indesit dies, who knows what will be available?
Can you do a load in a Zanussi again but a different one please
I don't own a Zanussi washing machine.
Ho ok sorry
I bought one of these 2 months ago. Is totally crap. In fact, calling it crap would be a massive insult to anything else that is crap. Already it needed a sparky out to fix a loose circuit. On top of that, it doesn't dry clothes. Somewhat odd, as it's meant to be a dryer after all. There's noway i'd recommend one of these. Totally unusable settings and the need to run sometimes 5 cycles to get stuff dry. Any of the claims of the drying times are totally unbelievable.
Mine gets used on a regular basis and my clothes always come out dry first time, providing you select the correct programme and dryness levels you require.
Mine was the same, most of the cycles can't even dry. I have a beko hybrid now, it's much better and does what it says it will do
Do you know where you are keeping your AEG Lavatherm Dryer?
The garage.
Thank you.
Does anyone know if this dryer blows hot air into the room from the air vents at the bottom of the dryer?
self evaporation trickle hose or empty container option , air vents lol
Hi is the door window made from glass or plastic ?
Plastic, but I have not had any issues with this machine so far. The matching washing machine I have has a glass door.
Dotata di connessione wifi??????
Does this reverse properly?
I don’t know what you mean by properly, but yes this has a reverse tumble action.
Can I have your old tumble dryer😂
Sorry, sold to a colleague.
So does this dryer not get hot. It seems Weird. Does it fully dry them?
It doesn’t get as hot as a traditional dryer, but it uses less electricity and I can tumble dry clothes I wouldn’t have dried in my old machine. If you select the correct programme, it does dry everything properly, including bedding.
@@ibaisaic I recently bought this set and am having a lot of issues getting items dry, even after two goes. I dont know what amount of laundry is 3 kg or 5 kg etc. Bit sorry I bought the dryer.
@@kakou2003 Hi... @@gkereru8110 Worked perfectly. Thank you G, you are a star!
@@gkereru8110 Wish you’d do a CZcams video to demonstrate what you just said
Thanks for the review. Is the door reversible?
Hi, yes the door is reversible. You can see in the video that the handle is now facing upwards, you can also make it face downwards in case the machine is stacked on a washer. The door can be positionned in 4 different ways. I hope this helped you.
@@rboy9513 I was wondering how it could be reversed as it points upwards! I'm pleased that it can be done as the assistant in John Lewis told me today that it couldn't be swapped to a right hand hinge - and that had put me off choosing AEG. Making final selection of which model I'll buy tomorrow so thanks for the clarification.
Shelley883333 hi, it involves indeed a few screws, but you can remove them on the inside of the door, and that way change the handle to all four sides. You could maybe try to look up the user manual online. I hope my answer is not too late, have a nice day.
That tumble dryer isn’t loud. Our hoover tumble dryer thumps, and doesnt dry clothes well in the 2 years we’ve had it hoover engineers have been out about five times. 😂 shame because what caught our eye was the wifi capabilities .
Is it a heat pump tumble dryer?
Yes
I don't think so, I checked it after a while and the clothes weren't hot at all
@@roopchahal5893 coz they are shite awful at drying anything
I have the 7000 series - worst purchase ever. Fucking thing keeps turning off during a cycle even though the clothes are still damp
this is not a demonstration this is a commercial
And your name isn't Piet Smegma and that's not your picture.
4 years my drier lasted, never buy aeg again
Five year guarantee my last one
Insure it if I can’t fix it I’ll give you a new one
The removable cannister is the best design for cleaning. These fixed ones are rubbish. Lint gets trapped and is damp so cannot be cleaned easily, then smells damp and musty - passes this smell onto clothes. Poor design.
Well this poorly designed tumble dryer has been working well for me for 7 years now and it doesn’t smell damp and musty and nor do the clothes that come out of it.
10:12 Is this a bad external aligning of the finished product? Save this great brand- return the manufacturing in Germany!
You again, just shut up with your nonesense comments. We won't look at Bosch with loose and filmsy control panels MADE IN GERMANY...
Não recomendo esta maquina ... a minha maquina teve uma avaria acabando os dois anos de garantia, a reparação dá para comprar uma nova ... Não temos tecnicos cá que sabem arranjar estás maquinas . Não recomendo esta maquina ...
AEG 9000 Lavatherm is awful. Finishes with damp clothes.
These are know to dry perfectly in every way, among others due to the 3D-Scan technolgy. What model do you have?
Thsi si the WORST most EXPENSIVE dryer ever sold. It does not dry anything. It stop when the clothes are still damp and refuses to continue.
I’ve had this dryer 5 years now and that’s not my experience. You need to press the dryness level button after selecting the programme until a plus or a sun symbol appears on the display and the clothes should come out dry. This model is certainly not the most expensive dryer you can buy as when it needs replacing I am looking at a Miele that costs £1500.
@@ibaisaic I think mine night be a later model with different controls. The whole problem is that it is computer controlled and you can't jsut switch to manual. I paid $2700 Aussie which is very expensive here. Cheers
My model does have a manual timed setting, but I've seldom used it.
Never ever I buy anything from Aeg. Have to send my unit twice a year to service. Radiator gets so dirty, it does not heat anymore and the dryer stinks....
Mine is still working fine with no problems.
