    You might hear some hissing/whining in the background between guitar audio takes. It's not the guitar, it's me sitting too close to my PC and it creates this audio feedback. Thankfully it doesn't affect the sound of the guitar!

    Great video. And for what it is worth, I recently purchased a firefly ffst Relic where it was painted Sunburst and then painted white and then Relic and Warren and they did a phenomenal job. Also it came with stainless steel ball and frets, locking tuners, roasted Maple neck, bone nut, extra shaved heel , and truss rod wheel at the bottom of the neck. Easily accessible. Stays in tune very well and she's a looker and a great player! 176 including delivery to my front door. You literally cannot beat these guitars.

    I picked up one of these today at my local shop. I was torn between this and an epiphone les Paul classic but the jet had better quality control and a better setup and was easy to play and looked and sounded good. I played a bunch of other jet models and I liked those too. off to play some more on my js-800. it sounds good unplugged, too.

    I've got one of the low end Jets (JS300). I put some alnico pickups from NW Guitars in and Vanson locking tuners. So for about £60 extra it's a solid giggable Strat. Love the necks on these especially.

      I got a Fazley (FSST720, same as a Jet300 or 400). The neck is really killer. I put on the Vansons - direct fit replacement for £33, and got a pair of Duncan humbuckers for £30 off ebay. I spent about £40 on fancy switch wiring and full size pots, plus a new scratchplate for the pups so I am in the hole for about £100 odd (more than the guitar cost - £91). Its a really nice guitar now!

    Basswood is not like pourus mahogny, Fender used it in the first teles in the 50s. Trees often seen in big forest up in Scandinavia.

    The 850 does not have locking tuners. Locking nut, yes. Tuners, no.

      Basswood is actually good. Poplar and Nato and other supposedly alternative mahogany woods and stuff like that aren’t good.

  • @pablocacaster

    i dont understand why this companies dont make flatter neck radius, the guitar looks amazing but not being flat is a no go for a shred guitar

    • @Metallex
      @Metallex  Před rokem +1

      I think in the case of this guitar, it's supposed to be that pre-shred guitar where it was players using 'classic' Strats to play that stuff. It's only when Jackson started doing compound radiuses, Ibanez started making the JEMs and really when necks with a wider radius started being produced more commonly that we started to see what we think of as a classic shred neck.
