I was there every other Saturday back in the summer of 1990. It was the best summer of my life. I used to ride 'The Poltergeist" (an indoor Scrambler with music and light show) several times.

I have childhood memories from the late 60s, early 70s. I remember the stands in the middle of the boardwalk and the bath house where you could change clothes.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I live on the Southern Oregon coast now and was unable to visit this summer. So many memories since coming here when I was just a kid. I could literally smell all the wonderful smells on that beloved boardwalk.

I practically grew up in seaside. My grandmother had a house in Ortley my whole childhood. Unfortunately Hurricane Sandy destroyed my childhood. All the old video games in Barnacle Bills were destroyed and the old boardwalk was destroyed, but im glad they rebuilt even if its different

Seaside in the 70's was the best! Father rented Shore houses on the beach... and we stayed at the Hershey Motel at that time they came out with the California Burger that place was the best at Hershey Motel! At 13yrs old I would live in the Casino pier playing Pin Ball...There's no more pin ball machines at all 2023 that's crazy!

Under the board walk at night party going on crazy! Nothing beats Midway sausage and peppers! Even to this day ...1978 would park our custom vans at the front of pier My van was custom all black chrome loud side pipes , chrome wheels. Would wax them all out during the day...at night they stood out and shined...girls all around the vans now that was awesome! )North Jersey Vaners)

Hello EMan.....A HUGE THANK YOU !!! I've been unable to get down to Seaside for the last couple of years but you definitely covered it all for me.....Thank Goodness. I was having anxiety not knowing what was going on at my beloved seashore. Put it this way, at 58 yrs old....I remember the "Chatter Box" that used to be home to some of the greatest bands in the 70's....I even saw "3 Dog Knight" there. Have a question. I see they moved the carousel building way North. Will this house any portion of the old carousel that got highly damaged during "Sandy"? Would love to know if you had any info on the Carousel's were abouts...if there are any. Again, I can't thank you enough for doing this. It was great fun to watch.....so enjoyable. - Cheers !!!!!!! 👍👍👍

The day of this video, the carousel pavilion was still under construction, but the good news is that it did open during the summer and the restored carousel is up and running at its new home!!

I've been going to Seaside Heights since the early 60s when they had the Beachcomber out on the pier they have live bands in there they had the best lobster you ever had in your life I'm telling you in the restaurant part Seaside Heights had a lot of changes over the years but you have to admit there's always good memories when you go there

I guess Seasides Height's version of the tram car is the Sky Ride, which is kinda cool. Problem is there are no stops and only connects the Casino Pier to the North end of the boardwalk. Thanks for the visit!🙏🏼😀
