I really appreciate all the videos you’ve been doing recently.
The fish quilt is coming along. I think quilting will take care of the center line in the HSTs.
I mKe 95% of my quilts for charity. I had to learn that I would not know where they went. Yet I hope they will be lived and will bring comfort to kids in my local area. Plus I can pour lots of love into each one and that gives me joy.
Design boards are really easy to make. Foam board cut into the sizes you WANT. Leftover batting and binding pieces. Skip the hot glue, I use the red package heat and bond. CZcams videos help 😁🤣🎉❤️
Thank you for tha crash course. I'm thinking of guild Christmas gift exchange ideas. Think I want to do 15" Sq. X2 per person.
Hi Nora, I really like the f abrics you picked out for the third scarf. I think it is going to turn out really pretty. I hope you show it to us when you are done. Good luck at the art fair.
I really love this kind of video's and see and hear your thinkingprocess. Thank you for sharing!
Great video!! I love to see what ya’ll are working on. Love the fish quilt ❤
So fun, I would love to sell at a festival!! Love the scarfs. I think the way you combined the 2 pcs is called a knifes edge "binding". I agree, it's SO satisfying and makes me happy beyond words when someone wants/appreciates my quilts. Although I love making them, it's the icing on the cake. I've made them for my sister, friends, husband, kids and their spouses, grandkids, and now my great grandson! I am so flattered at how they really treasure them! Good luck at the festival! 😊❤
Thanks so much for sharing your work in this way. Enjoy seeing all of it and hearing about your thought process. A gift to others
I’m very happy to see you back. I think you’re very talented, I love to listen to your thoughts on the choices you decide on. ❤️😁🌹
Love the fish quilt!!!
Why not put the triangle borders just around the corners because they don't have to be continuous. Love the quilt, just love it. Thanks for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset, UK
I sell some of my quilts and other items on FB Marketplace. This works for me. If don’t sell then I donate.
You could shorten the HST borders to a size several inches shorter than the 4 sides of the quilt top, then add a strip of tan on all the ends. Also, you could add a square of green or basketweave fabric to each of those corners. That’s what I’ve done to before to avoid the quilt math. IMO it makes the HSTs more of a chosen accent rather than a border.
do use the basketweave fabric; it looks like a fisherman's creel. very appropriate.
What about another small border on the sides?
On the fish one, I don't think you should enlarge the square. My opinion.
Nora, do you put labels with your name on the quilts you sell?
I love the fish quilt without the hst. Just the pretty borders. But I have no doubt you will make it a success which ever way you decide.
