Should the credit be to Retained Earnings instead of Compensation Expense at Jan 1 2015 because the Compensation Expense was for the prior periods? Crediting Comp expense in 2015 would overstate your profit in 2015.

Would an increase/decrease in the stock price matter at time of vesting? Or is FV at time of grant the only consideration?
