- This pump wouldn't come up to pressure, it hovered around 42 psi. The impeller was worn. ordered a rebuild kit that came from a factory supplier. comes with gaskets, impeller, diffuser, venturi, etc. if you choose to repair your own pump it is at your own risk, it is your responsibility, i am only showing this how to video as there wasn't one out there all ready. Thanks for watching.
thanks, this is very helpful. Inside of your pump looks almost new compared to mine. Lot of minerals in the water here mine looks like a lava pit.
Thank you. Just used this to save a couple hundred bucks. Thanks
Where do I find rebuild part or kit
@@mehranrostami6967 I found complete rebuild kit at the local plumbing store.
@@mehranrostami6967 I found a complete kit at my local plumbing supply store. I took them pics of what I wanted and they found it for me.
Hope that helps.
This was as helpful as all get out. I had to do this task and thought I'd youtube it. I punched in how to rebuild a myre pump. And presto. My concern was that was it necessary to pull off the back and those components.. And sure enough it was. Now I can rest assured I'm not going to screw it up. I'll just do exactly that. Saved me about 350 bucks.
Thanks for Sharing
OK TYVM for excellent videos. b.t.w. this channel has 2 Myers rebuild(s), what I didint see here, I found on the other (also Helpful) video. As for the impeller, showing need to hold the shaft, OK, but I recommend wrapping cloth around the shaft end you're holding w/channel locks, etc. Myers are great pumps! I'm working on my second rebuild/clean up. I routinely do this every 8-10 years or as needed..
Thanks a lot for posting this. You saved me a bunch of money.
Great ,you helped me out of a lot
Great video but you should added to discharge the capacitor
Hi .I have a 2H. mayers pump it works good the only bad is that it has a annoying noise inside..what it could be.? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Take it apart and maybe parts tumbling around bad impeller, bad bearing. Or grit/pebbles inside the housing tumbling around.
You kinda skip the part where you get the impeller off? Mine just spins not sure how you got it off? Also don't think that is a venturi pretty sure it's the jet nozzle.
You have to hold the motor shaft in the back and then spin off the impeller
Do you have a link for the rebuild kit? I been looking for one for my HJ75S pump...It builds pressure and works fine, but it sounds kind of weird and the pressure gauge right on top of the pump shakes around alot when its working...any recommendations?
Thanks again for the video.
+Leart McMuffin (SmokymancePhoto) sounds like it could be the bearing going out or the impeller is worn. You would be looking for the PK75 kit i would try here.....www.wholesalepumpsdirect.com/shallow-well-parts-kits.html or sears.com supposedly carries them. sounds like you may want a new pressure gauge.....try and get a liquid filled one.
Exactly what mine is doing... what did you find out with it?
Why is the water so dirty. You sucking water from a lake or stream ❓
Where do you buy your parts from? Having a hard time finding a place online to order parts through.
just found them on EBAY
Bolts not screws
But here's a question what signs are there that impeller is bad other than it would come up to pressure. Are there any visible signs on the impeller because I tore it down twice and looked it over real good. It seemed fine to me no broken parts? Hmm. What gives
I love how your video skipped right trough that special screw. One second it’s on with you stating needs special screwdriver that I don’t have then blink blink your pulling it off. Blink blink equals 30-45 minutes and a scuffed up special screw. I call BullButter.
