    Runtown (born Douglas Jack Agu) is a Nigerian singer/songwriter/producer with a diverse music style mixing Hip-Hop, RnB, Reggae and Rap. Runtown signed to Eric Many Entertainment in 2014 after successful singles and collaborations with Laza Morgan (High On You), Phyno (Anam-Achi Vers-Achi) and Davido (Gallardo). He acquires his musical inspiration from artistes like Sean Kingston, Bob Marley, Kanye West, to name a few.

    I was in Ghana way back 2016 when this song was released, the whole Ghana 🇬🇭 feel the hit. I travelled to Dubai 2018 and came back 2022, now I am in Ghana living life playing this jam 2024 remembering my friends we both lived together back then in Ghana 🇬🇭 facing the struggle together, life🤦🏻‍♂️. I pray we all have breakthrough to a good life after years. One love from my home town Benin city, Edo state

      Y’all shoulda keep that Amapiano secret. It’s made Afrobeat lazy for real. The fusion is almost complete though and then regular programming will follow. What emerges will not be a pure West-African style but likely a pan (west+south+east). Pure evolution

    This is my favorite Afrobeats song of all time.
    It was released in Nov 2016, and the next month I got my first financial break, had a car to myself, and this song played every time I put on the radio while I was “detty decembering”. It was such a sweet December.
    So anytime the song plays, there’s a smile from within and a release of dopamine, that takes me to a happy place mentally.. a place of Plenty. I love the song.

    Im latino from West Coast. Went to NY last year and got a haircut at a barbershop in Harlem. They was bumpin this nigerian stuff and I had never heard it before but i immediately asked him what it was. He was like, “Man you dont know nuthin about this”.... I had to get up a gig to show him Im with the game. Blew their mind seein a 6’5 whiteboy get down like me😂😂 Now everytime I hear this stuff I think of that day. GREAT STUFF.
