    Great fantastic company and speakers! The only thing i would recommend, in the next series - put the input and output on the bottom of the speaker, it is easier for us mobile dj's when we pole mount. Thank you!

    Hey buddy, I just got the RCF 912 A they sound great, I use to have the Qsc k12.2 I notice the 912 have more kick bass than the Qsc. Thats a good thing for mobile dj events but when I use them home it's too much bass even in the linear setting. I have to eq the bass. any suggestions?

    • @rez9159
      @rez9159 Před 2 lety

      Take measurements. If you measure a boost over a larger range, just EQ it with a low Q filter. If there is also a narrow spike its likely to be a room mode, then it depends on if you need just a fixed listening spot or a larger area to be covered with good sound. For the first case experiment with placing and then take the large range boost out with an low Q factor EQ setting and the narrow spike caused by standing waves with an high Q filter and for the second case take care of placing too and EQ just with a low Q filter when needed, but no sharp EQs with high Q factor to filter the room modes, they have to be eliminated with acoustical treatment otherwise you have an more inconsistent sound depending on your position..

      @@rez9159 the entire 9 series is too bass-heavy. For a dj use it can also be a good thing. Overall I find the 7 series more balanced.

      I don’t know where all of this bass you’re claiming is coming from. I run my rcf art 915 at near limit every time and I always have to eq the mids down so they don’t overpower the bass.

      - RCF Sub 8003-AS II - (18 inch woofer)

    • @quadvr
      @quadvr Před 9 měsíci

      People don't like to see DJ speakers (at the parties) - they just want to hear them. No led is better.

    • @hungchung2726
      @hungchung2726 Před 9 měsíci

      @quadvr But it's better for you as the technical personnel, if you are using few separate columns in a venue, you can tell if they still powered up by just looking if the LED powers on. Instead walking through that crowd to check. LED is very important feature.

    • @quadvr
      @quadvr Před 9 měsíci

      @@hungchung2726 true -- but that is why doing sound test is so important before the event starts -- to make sure the speakers are tuned into the hall or room. A lot of rookie DJs use the same adjustment for all rooms (like leaving the knob at 2 pm all of the time). It gets way too loud (for small children's ears) and sometimes rookie DJs have their speakers too low at ear level (never a fun event). For me tuning the speakers to the room is more important then having a led in front (I use to have Mackie Thumps, and I kept the front led off, so when I got RCF speakers, I was glad there was no led in the front - just me).

    • @hungchung2726
      @hungchung2726 Před 9 měsíci

      @quadvr I know what you mean, I always tune my system before any events, that is a sure must, but I meant when the event gets crowded, sometime there's an ediot to kick your power cables out or even shift your speaker, so if the far set of speaker is off the LED will be off.
