There are lots of things to do in Oahu, Hawaii! And sometimes, it's best to just wing it! Here are the things we did going around the island from Waikiki to the North Shore! We ate lots of amazing Hawaiian food during our week in Hawaii, and a lot of it we did on a budget!

Moving to Oahu soon! Driving from AZ to PA, then South along the coast to FL, then back to AZ, and on to HI!

My husband and I are moving to Honolulu 2 weeks from today to get our master's degrees and we're so excited!! We've been living in a trailer for a little over a year now in Texas and while we'll miss it, we're definitely looking forward to the beach!

Lived there for 3 years, definitely a wonderful place to be. If you want better beach life you have to go outside of waikiki. I miss Oahu.

Giovanni's is like one step above Red Lobster. They get their shrimp frozen from Indonesia. Fumi's and Romy's are less than a mile down the road and both have their own ponds where they get the shrimp fresh. Giovanni's is definitely capitalizing on their Food Network fame.

Hawai'i food hits different! Got to check out fresh poke in Chinatown too, not touristy places like Waikiki

DUDE! I was born and raised on Oahu (Kaneohe) and moved away in 2007 after retiring. We had been going back every year or three (prior to the Pandemic) and staying on Kapahulu Ave, gateway to the most delicious food! I must say though, it's moo-sue-bee with the accent on the BEE, not the SUE, please, thank you. ALOHA Y'ALL!

Another excellent fun video to watch. Been to Oahu many times (prefer the Big Island though). Sad that they converted the International Marketplace from local vendors into a high-end fashion mall.

Our fave Maguro Brothers… d day we land and after checkin straight to Maguro …. our next fave Marukame Udon…mainland has cheescake factory but the one in Waikiki is d largest with over 600 seating capacity… tim ho wan another dimsum fave… even mcdonalds for breakfast is different than main land..oh speaking of musibi we usually go to musubi cafe iyasume…
Maguro Brothers was our fav too! We could eat sashimi all day looong! Will have to try Marukame next time around, the line was crazy long and we were too hungry to wait lol
Keep thinking about it since the girls have never been. I used to live on the big island when i was a beekeeper. And the wife and I have been twice. The ABC stores are gold!! Can find it in one? Cross the street to the other one. Lol.

Hawaiian 7-11 for the win!!!! They have the best misubi and other Japanese treats. I don’t know why people don’t recommend hitting up a Hawaiian 7-11 more often.

You guys might find this kind of amusing. We follow a couple of van life channels on youtube. Last night, we were watching "The Adventures of A plus K". They have a habit of saying "dang" in their videos, such as "this burger is dang good". So I dropped a seemingly-harmless jovial comment on their video that said "Dont say "dang" lol. No one actually says that". I wake up this morning and they had messaged me an essay-long rant about how I'm an asshole and how dare I critique their perfect videos and I should shut my "dang" mouth, and they've lost sleep over this and my comment was "brutal". Like...woah. My wife is like "I bet Olivia and Nathan wouldnt have gotten butthurt like that. They probably would have just responded with "lol dang dang dang bitch"

we went to hawaii in the last 20 months...my wife almost got here purse robbed by a teen bum girl, saw lots of bums,trash, super bum camps, overpopulated, traffic,wrecked cars...too sad..will never go back...politicians and PC culture have wrecked it
Ridiculous…Please don’t come to Hawaii- especially O’ahu. We are trampled and overwhelmed with visitors, transplants. Our leaders are not looking out for us to limit this so there’s a lot of bitterness and frustration. I know- you are probably a “nice, conscientious visitor”- no matter. Give us some space. Or that Aloha will melt away.
