    I never suggest grand plie in 4th position to a beginner, or to anyone unsupervised - because it requires quite a bit of training to do it execute it in a manner that's safe for the back knee. It might feel fine doing it, but by the time you feel the pain it's too late, the damage is already done. At that point it becomes one of those injuries that keeps coming back - and so is best avoided.

    Yeah yeah.. I would use anything... chairs, tables ... walls.. Japanese swings.. for pliè of course
