Beautiful! Thank you!😊
I love the idea of using book page for the background. And your butterfly stash/collection is fantastic! Thank you for sharing. ❤
I just love your work.
Thank you so much 😀
I never dreamt of using black embossing powder, but now I want to try that black sparkle. And since you don’t like the sparrow, you might as well send him to me! He’s my favorite. I’ll give him a loving home. 🕊️
Love your butterflies and great tip to coat book page first with gesso and to make the shiny embossing more dull to apply some matte medium. Thanks for sharing!
Love this process! So many possibilities, thank you Ceri. 💖💖💖
Now I know why I need to invest in.an embossing pad and powders. I love the idea of making something unique. ❤❤❤
Thanks Ceri. These are a great idea and almost all of us have papers of some kind and a color collection. 😊
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing. It was very helpful. Who knew book page butterflies lol I’ll be working in my stash now 🦋
brilliant idea! Thank you Ceri
Love these!! I want to make a box of butterflies, so I can share! TFS!! Have a great day!
Thank you for another fantastic video!
… you could use clear gesso if you were worried about the opacity of the white ….
This is a lovely idea and a well done tutorial. Bravo mate! Thank you!
Beautiful, original and using your own creations is(in my opinion) always the best. Thank you!
Thank you! 😊
Awesome Ceri! Gayle is so funny...I giggle every time she says Antlers! 😂
wonderful......i'm off to make some myself now!!!!
Love the pile from your scrap drawer 🤣🤣💐
Gonna' make a "pile of butterflies" now that you have shown me how ... stash of stamps coming up. Let's go! Thanks for your time and effort in this tutorial. 😉
This also works for flowers as well.
You do have the best ideas. This is so inspiring. Thank you, Ceri. (Your admirer from North Carolina)
Thank you so much
Those are so pretty! I love your videos where you show how to make your own ephemera. I use a lot of things that are from me - and these videos give me great ideas. Thank you!
Cool…Christine Stokes shared to do this on magazine pages,,,I have been doing that with gold powder,…but I really like the black on the pages. Thanks..good teaching by the way
Gorgeous butterflies. I think my favorite are the ones you used distress ink around the edges, so unique. i love your videos.
They’re my favourite too.
Pretty, lovely, pretty! 😍
Love this idea, need to dust off my embossing powders, great tips! ❤️
Glad it was helpful
Hi Ceri. Fun project and very pretty. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Love the butterflies. What a good use of old book pages. Thank you for sharing! 💜
These were great! Love them. Thanks for the inspiration. ❤
These are gorgeous Ceri! I especially like the book page ones but the colors are beautiful, they remind me of stained glass. ♥
Thank you ever so much for sharing. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this and I cannot wait to follow your instructions and make some butterflies of my own. ☺️
The large butterfly, especially looks great embossed in the black with the inked edge. Thanks for the inspiration Ceri. 😊
Great idea. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. Very much appreciated. ❤❤❤❤❤
What a great idea! Your butterflies are so beautiful. 😍 Thanks for sharing! 😊♥️
Great techniques-especially toning down embossing powders’ shine with matte medium. Plus, I’m embarrassed to say, after decades of art stamping (now segued to not-very-“junk” journals), I have always applied gesso with a brush! The credit card application is so much better.
LOVE !
Genius!!! While I don't have embossing pads and powder, I do have the color shift acrylic paint and this project has my mind running. Thank you Ceri.
Have fun
Pretty!
What a great idea!!!! I’m making these today! Thank you for your thorough tutorial!
Have fun
I love this idea. I stamp my butterflies but never emboss. Last week I got a mini pancake cooker and have been using it to emboss die-cut words, I think it would work great for the butterflies. The cooker will go up to 4". Marion Emberson did it on one of her videos. I was tired of burning my fingers on fiddly bits or having to fix the embossing after using tweezers. I love your videos Ceri.
Wonderful
Thanks, Ceri. It's a great idea! B5
Another fantastic idea! Can’t wait to use these technique. My imagination is going wild now!! You are always so inspiring. Thank you!
Wonderful
What a wonderful tutorial. I love the way you teach and share your ideas. Step by step completely explained. I know what I’m doing tomorrow 🤣😁😁🥰❤️❤️
A really useful technique, thanks for sharing Ceri!
Ceri, such a fun project and not that difficult, can't wait to make some butterflies, thank you for sharing.
Love the video. I never thought of doing ephemera this way. TFS
Great idea - I have all these things and forget. Need to put them to use and this is a beautiful way to do that. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are so welcome!
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the large butterflies with the brown distress ink added to the edges. I think you are right about using black embossing powder. It does create a glam factor. TFS. 🙏🥰
Love and use butterflies a lot, will make some on other papers then my scrapbook papers. Thank for sharing. 😊
Have fun
Beautiful butterflies - I'll have to find alternative as I'm useless at fussy cutting
Some stamps come with dies, a little more expensive but you’ve got a die cutting machine it’s an option.
Fab idea. I have made flowers and butterflies doing this in the past but it’s wonderful to have the reminder 💜
Wonderful
Now, I finally have a plan for my embossing powder! I just got the idea to try this on some Jessoed fabric scraps!
Thanks, Ceri!❤
Fabulous.
Very nice! 🦋
Wow, nice idea. Actually, Watercolor paper would be really cool ⚾️
I think so too
Brilliant ❤ Thank you
I REALLY love this idea. Thank you, much.

This is amazing! I have always struggled to find enough bird, embellishments for my projects, and this would be the perfect way to make some! I will make some butterflies too. Thank you for this!

Thank you! 😊
❤❤❤ this idea and process!
Hi Ceri, nice to see you. Thank you for your video.
Fabulous idea on using backgrounds, book pages and scrap papers to make butterflies flowers or anything else your heart desires.
TFS❤
Loved watching your process. Liked how you used old book pages. Just started doing 3 D butterflies. I have a 3 step stamp butterfly I'm using now. I get color with stamp,so i don't have to color in.I double stamp the same one on 2 pieces of cardstock. I fussy cut one, cutting off antennas too. I color edges after I cut it. I glue it on top of other at just the body and shape wings to come up. I add embellishments after. Etc. Glossy accents to dark parts on body. Going to try some with embossing. Love embossing, have bunch but don't get to use them as much as I'd like. Thank you for Sharing this and your hints. Have to check what I have in a book I can use. THANKS again and have a great and safe day..
.
Wonderful Laura.
I love these butterflies!!
Thank you for all your inspiration.
Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 🎉❤😊
