I recently watched, or rewatched, a video from two years ago and I have to say that it's wonderfully impressive how far the Beastie Room has come. Just super.

Thanks Dave and Camera Lady! Another great video. I think the Beastie Room is gonna have a bigger room soon! That's a full house, lol.
Can we see the other room pls😊 are the frogs in there?? I miss the frog sound😂

The most dangerous creature in the Beastie Room is the heater :D

👋👩🦳Hi there dear Dave and Sweet Camera Lady, you both bring happiness to us in the mornings when you post a new video on YT! Thank you for another interesting and informative video ❤🕷👍!
Good morning!❤❤❤
Tour of second room! 😁
Nice chat indeed. Room looking good.
Thank you kindly
Always interesting Dave and Camera Lady, enjoyed the tour.🕷🕷🕷❤❤
I think you're right about the temperatures some spiders like the sand spider needs to be 30 degrees or above to breed have eggs
So awesome to see the room in all its glory and get a quick look at all your Beasties
👍😊 great video guys
Thanks 👍
Wot an educational vidoe , maintenance is key when looking after t's and ya labelling system tells u wot is needed hope ya day is going well Dave & Camera lady
I was so happy to see the start of the video, with the Hogna Carolinensis. She's looking absolutely lovely, and I hope to see her in a future breeding project! I would love to see an update on your Aussie stowaway Britney, too.
Hi Dave and Camera Lady 💙💕🕷️ hope you’re both doing well, and having a wonderful day.
Ohhh, very interesting to see some husbandry. I’d say when you’re in the middle of it all you’ve found your happy place 🕷️🕷️
I like when you see spider 💩 on the glass, you know you have a healthy spider, which definitely makes sense 😊
Thanks for taking the time out and sharing this information with us all. It’s nice to see the inner workings of The Beastie Room. Even the dreaded heater that jumps out at Camera Lady 😂😂
Brilliant work by Camera Lady today getting all the closeups.
Take care both and enjoy your week ahead 💙💕🕷️😘xxxx
Thank you 🙏 ❤
Great video, I didn't realize how many tarantulas ya'll have so impressive!!!
Thanks!😊
This is one of your most interesting videos, Dave. The amount of spiders you keep is absolutely staggering!!!
So nice of you❤
We used to use electrical tape in our breeding rooms because it comes in standard colours, white, yellow, green, yellow/green stripe, blue, red, black and doesn’t leave sticky on the cages and they also last for ages as little restickable tags. Yellow/green stripe used to mean ‘pregnant’, green was a litter in cage, red was ‘due to wean’ and other things. I can. only imagine a system like that would make you crazy in your spider room though cause it does look a little messy and your room looks so nice and tidy.
Great showaround.
Hello great video information Dave
Thanks 👍
Thank you for sharing Dave! Another amazing video. Information and insights! Funny how there is a full room of fangs and things yet the most dangerous is the heater😂😂.
A true mentor!
😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
I love this video! I am just endlessly fascinated about the methods to your madness! I like the way you have set the Room up to keep like things with like. That way you can shift mode for their needs. Don't let that Heater bite Camera Lady- we need her! 🧐
Awesome! Thank you!❤
Always amazed by how many spiders and other beasties you've got, It's like a mini warehouse ;}
😂😂❤
Great video my good friend
Thank you very much❤
You sure have a hell of a lot of spider to care for! Very time consuming, but it's something you enjoy and are very good at Dave! ❤
So nice of you❤️
we're running into the same problem as A seemani with the wild caught Haplopelma vonwirthi. luckily I scored a male and my female is on a sac!
Good luck 🤞
A full time job for sure!!
Fantastic video as usual , thank you for a better look around the beastie room ❤️
Hello Dave and Camera Lady. Just popped in to say hello. Lovely video and such an amazing collection. It will be an exciting year I think. Take care and see you soon.
As always enlightening as enlightening goes. Amazing lecture.
Congrats from Portugal
Glad you enjoyed it!❤
Great video mate , you certainly do have a lot of spiders. Thanks for the update 🙂
It's been a while since I stopped by, the collection has GROWN! I envy you Dave, your such a good care giver.
Thank you 🙏 and welcome back
What an amazing collection of spiders.
Thank you 🙏
Dave, you are so interesting to listen to. I have learned so much about tarantulas and have gained respect for them. Fascinating creatures.
So nice of you thank you 🙏
What a nice set-up room.
I really like these type videos Dave when you do them, it gives valuable insight to how you do things and valuable information to us in the hobby!! Thanks so much Dave and Camera Lady outstanding video!!!🕷
Awesome, thank you!❤
As an ongoing breeder that pulled his first eggsac some days ago i am again stunned by your tarantularoom. Its just perfect. All the beautiful enclosures with real stunners inside. Your channels helped me a lot in improving my hobby. Just for an example your nursery pots are working great and i dont know anybody here around doing it this way, but its the best way. Even if i have always been able to handle my Ts the beasty way because i love them and never get nervous arround them, there is still no way for me to reach your master level in enclosure builds and breeding knowledge. My room also is just half the size of yours so i have to be selective when it comes to breeding projects.
As long as you enjoy what you do my friend , every day is a school day we never stop learning ❤️👍
Thanks for the great video.Spider are amazing🕷❤💯😄👍👍👍
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and listening to you tell us about some of them. I would love to see a really long video and you tell a little more about your projects. How many do you have in the other room and will we ever get to see them??? ❤❤❤❤ your videos
Maybe one day 😂❤️
Really enjoyed this video. Always enjoy a tour of the Beastie Room! Please keep us posted on the OBT - one of my faves!
Brilliant video as always, Dave (and camera-lady). I didn't realise (a) how big the room actually was - as you're usually just in one place, and (b) that you have another spider-room, too ! No wonder it takes you so long to go through them all.
Glad you enjoyed it❤
@@daveslittlebeasties always do... I'm still trying to decide which spiders I want to add - to my reptile collection. Today's video has given me even MORE 'food for thought' (thanks a lot, Dave !) 😆
I am watching this vidoe even though I do not keep spiders. I just love the channel Dave is so knowledgeable and is gentle and loves his spiders. So I watch like and comment as many as I can to help Dave and Camera lady with the algorythmns.
Thank you so much really appreciate your support my friend ❤
Good job these spider females ain’t too sensitive about big behind observations, hey! Might not be so calm in the beastie room, then…😆
You put so much time and effort into "the hobby" (as you call it), it is amazing! The Beastie room grew so much in the time I followed Your content. Fingers crossed and knock on wood for all of your (future) projects! Really love Your channel... ❤ but camera lady still has no mike 😏
Thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️
That was a relaxing, enjoyable run-thru as I wake up with my tea. Thanks, Beastie Team!
🇺🇸☕🙂☕🇺🇸
❤❤❤
Wait, am I out of the loop here or did anyone else happen to catch the mention of a second room lol? Is a Disney like spin off in the works called Dave's Little Beauties 😂 ?
Looks like you beat me to producing rufilata this past year, but I had Sabah Blue drop first lol. Best of luck with her, they're by far one of my favorite species to work with.
Geez Dave. Are there any spiders left in the wild to love???? :)
Lots being found all the time 👍
Always enjoy these walkabouts. It would be interesting to see if a higher temp/humidity vs lower would produce more males in an egg sac or vice versa. Wonder if that would make any difference at all...
I grew up terrified to even look at a spider but now have followed you for about a year and learned so much from your commentary and videos. Both are excellent 🙌🏼
Question: looking at the molt in this video, you noted it was a male. What do you look for that enables you to decide so quickly?
Awesome! Thank you!, I could see the emboli on his pedipalps
Brilliant video Dave, as always!
I wish I could see that room in real life. Love it. What a stunning collection. ❤
Another top notch vid as usual Dave. 😉👍
Glad you enjoyed it❤
Dave, I keep asking about my absolute favorite which you’ve not shown in forever, the “Brazilian Jewel” do you still have them? If yes can you do a video again? 😊thanks❤
Yes I do! We can do another in the future 🙏
Unless the label ups and walks away like a fart in the wind 😂😂😂😂
Hi Dave! This was a really interesting format, even though you yourself said you didn't really get anything done in it. It's great nonetheless!
Great video. I love to see your collection and how you organise it .
Thank you so much!
absolutely love seeing your bestie room
Thank you x
Thanks Dave, that was a great insight into your collection
Dave I find you so interesting to listen to. I don’t keep spiders anymore as gone back to my reptiles, but it’s so nice to come back on the odd occasions and have a catch up on what your doing. Great video mate.
9:26 🎶🎵 Baby got back 🎵🎶 😂
Dave I love watching these videos! They are so relaxing I put in on and sit back in my tarantula room and enjoy!!! Love watching a normal day in the beastie room!
Awesome! Thank you!
Lovely, relaxing walk about the place - Thank you and Camera Lady for your time and information.
I do have a question tho - With mammals it is important to give their bodies adequate time between litters to maintain the mother's overall health. For example, while a cat can have three litters a year no responsible breeder would intentionally do that to an animal. Dogs, horses, etc, back to back breeding is likewise recognized as a bad thing.
Is there a similar interval for tarantulas? Or is their biology simple enough that once they are back to a healthy weight it is not detrimental to their underlying health for them to start developing more eggs?
Thanks again, I learn so much from your channel - just wish I were on the right side of the pond to get signs from you!
Yes we have played around with this and not really seen much difference in the spiders but I think this maybe due to the fact we keeyour spiders in optimum condition throughout their lives 👍
Brilliant dave xxxx
Really loved the start of this... getting very professional Dave 😍😍😍 awesome video ❤ thank you Mr and Mrs Dave 🙏🙏🙏
Glad you enjoyed it❤️👍
i love videos like these....a glimpse into a typical day in the beastie room!
Quite the variety we see here today ! I had NO idea you had a B. smithi or several A. seemanni ! Very cool to see these ! While these (seemanni esp) will benefit from being bred to lower the pressure on WC collecting (Why do they still do it in this day and age ?!), no spider needs it more (IMO) than the G. rosea. I know they're not a favorite of yours, but ever since Chile stopped exporting them, they're becoming more and more scarce. Oddly enough, you'd remember decades ago they were literally everywhere, but we see very little of them nowadays. We really took the species for granted and hardly anybody bothered to breed them, but recently people are trying to get them again and they're becoming hard to find and expensive.
Sorry for the "rant", but I had to get it out.
Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
@@luffebassen B. smithi is still a valid species, my friend :)
Old B. smithi = B. hamorii
B. annitha = New B. smithi
Confused ? Don't worry, a lot of people still are ! I'm going for smithi because of the carapace pattern (not always a reliable way to tell them apart) is shaped like a leaf and not fully rounded like a majority of hamorii.
I could be wrong, but that's what my eyes are telling me. I'm sure Dave was already aware of the recent (2017 ?) genus review telling especially those two apart. They look so similar it's incredibly easy to confuse one with another.
Hope this helps :)
@@luffebassen My mistake then, this is is a great example of why we can't assume one vs the other even on carapace pattern. It's so wildly variable from one animal to another. I think the only true way to tell them apart is the leg patterns and even then you'd need to good close look to be sure.
I also get them little flies, they really are annoying and I don’t fancy using fly spray as it will most probably kill my spiders
Great vid 👍
My 2nd T was a A-seemani and its a male lol if you were in the usa Id gladly donate him!
❤️❤️
We love yours spider show 😢
😂😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤
Great vid and seein the Beastie Room from another perspective , N get that heater on a leash we don't want no harm to come to Camera Lady ...
😂😂😂😂
Hey Mr&Mrs beastie room
That's a lot to handle have you ever forgotten to do something for a spider and it resulted in a bad molt or death
It’s not to bad to keep on top ❤
❤❤❤❤😊
That was a great look around the beastie room Dave, it's bigger than I imagined. How's my old GBB male doing? I hope he's behaving himself. Unfortunately my poki Metallica sling passed away for some unknown reason 😭
That’s a shame my friend 😢
@@daveslittlebeasties when my finances are better I'll buy another one from you. I've no idea why it died, it was eating well and sitting out of its hide and being very mobile, webbing up it's small enclosure (a cotton bud tub) then suddenly went lethargic for a couple of days before dying 😞
@@trooperwolfie it happens im afraid 😭
This is my favorite channel.❤ Love the way you care and are so knowledgeable.❤❤
Awesome thanks ❤❤❤
This hobby is a lot of work. Fun though.
Thanks Dave, another great and very informal video, I have about 150 tarantulas, which seems like nothing compared to you, how many do you have you think?
I have no idea 😂
@@daveslittlebeasties 😂😂
AWESOME
Dave show us the Kraken slings please.
Lovely presentation. TY.
Thank you!❤️👍
Fungus gnats are a real pain. I have had a big outbreak in my shed. They love humid enclosures and live plants unfortunately. I am debating if I am going to swap out for all plastic plants.
Small price to pay to keep the plants , I use vinegar traps and sticky tapes and within a couple of days the flies will be gone 👍
@Dave's Little Beasties Yeah I had a big explosion of them. I have been using the sticky traps for the past month and must have caught literally 10's of thousands of the damn things 😫
