idk how to tell you this but; garage kit figurines are not like the ones you can buy that are mass produced and sold in stores.
These are different from the ones you normally buy. If this is how every figure is built, then the prices would be even more expensive and there would be a lot smaller supply per company.

下地にオレンジを塗ることで、眉周りの影や、重ねることでより色を「肌」っぽく見せるためもあるのかなと思いました！
どちらにせよ、そこまで考えられてやってるとしたら驚きですよね

I think the anime shorts from Hololive would like a word about that.
But I was thinking about all the figures in this channel so broadening it to anime seemed fit for it, after all it is anime aesthetics.
NGL tho, if this person does more V-tubers I would be very happy, Kaichou or Danchou would be nice to see, Okayu’s eyes would be awesome too since the little rabbit detail in Pekora’s eyes were actually painted!

@@r3b0x91 just started getting into the model hobby, and yea kits almost always comes unpainted un assembled. Like this guy in video shows you it's a lot of work but the results are rewarding knowing you made it.

I would love to see a more in detail tutorial on the eye painting :o it's very difficult to find a good eye painting tutorial for garage kits online.

How long have you been painting figures? Do you make a living off of them?
When I was kid, I remembered building one of my uncle's figurine. I still remember the times when I was cutting the pieces of the figurine but you know what's fun about is when you knew you messed up. I've cut pieces instead of cutting the thing that connects the piece. My uncle was really mad that time.

The level of skill and dedication to this is sublime, I couldn't even comprehend the time and money it takes to do this kind of thing. The fact that there is English subtitles too is much appreicated. Much respect, I look forward to more in the future!

Watching this video made me realize and appreciate the amount of effort the original illustrator, L2D rigger, 3D-modeler, 3D-rigger, 3D-stream staff, composers and recording staff, managers, fan artists, mangakas, musicians, fan 3D-sculptors and assemblers and painters, and of course Pekora herself put into making all this work! Seriously, great work!

The single dull x-acto knife I use for like 90% of my modelling is looking really inadequate after watching his work, haha.
These fuckers here be usin airbrushes while I got this crusty ass set of brushes and a dull x-acto,

I don't really understand, so someone is selling like kits of hololive figurines that you have to tweak/paint after you buy them?
Kinda new to this so I don't really know how this works, satisfying to watch though
In Japanese hardcore figure market, there exist an exclusive type of figures, called "Garage Kits". As the name implies, these kits are essentially made by independent sculptors in very small quantity. These sculptors buy copyright license for the character, then build a master copy, and then duplicate them. These duplication are not assembled and painted, the buyer must paint and assemble by themselves. Due to licensing restrictions, which valid for one time only, these figures will only be sold once - at a specified event. After the event ends or goods sold out, there's no way to procure another one, unless buying from the secondary market.
