- Once our tiny house was done (and even before it was complete) we headed out on our camping adventures. We found amazing free places that took our breath away, but to keep them to themselves, most people won't tell you all the secrets of crown land in Alberta....will we?
The best thing about crown land camping is the freedom. Remember that there are others that use the area so be respectful of the neighbours and before you leave clean up after your self. Sadly, we’ve had to clean the sites before we use them multiple times.
That looked like so much fun! What a beautiful place to go hang out with good friends and family! I LOVE being able to "come along" with you on your wonderful adventures! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful! I would love to visit this place when we come next!
Agreed ! Whoop whoop 🙌
this is what im looking for .Thanks for this video you shared Planning to come this place this coming summer.
It was so fun, I hope you experience that as well!
omg the sing songy way she talks i just cant 😂
Hi All.
Just came on your vid.
My fave places are prairie creek( all three) and down by the rivers.
North Saskatchuawn by Rocky Mountain House has it all. Then again I am partial. I have lived there over half my life.
The waterfall be it little as it is, is still most fantabulous
Stay safe and groovy

Alberta is such a beautiful place. So lucky to be born here.
It really is!
Fuckin right.
Love a good camp!
Ty, Love camping in the BUSH (N. Ontarionian)👐🙏🇨🇦✌️💚
Ontario seems like an amazing place to go camping!
Just explored this yesterday however there was a yellow gate closed off from going past the atlas staging area. I am assuming you went down there to find some nice spots. How far was the hike to the lake from there?
It's only open during warmer months, but we've hiked to the lake, and it's not very far.
I just stumbled on this video and really liked it and subscribed. What’s the name of the place again? Keep up the good work. Greetings 🖖 from Kelowna. Cheers
It's the Atlas Staging Area by Chinook Lake and Allison Creek Falls
@@mckaysondeck Thank you 🙏🏻
Please take me out Mexico and take me in Alberta 😍
What?
Was that Allison creek falls ?
Yes it is! A hidden gem
Thanks so much 👍🏻😊
This looks so beautiful ! Can you please send me the address or pinpoint the location? Please thank you
If you type "atlas staging area ab" into your GPS, it should take you there!
Crown land camping is not free. You must pay a per time or yearly fee. Once that is done then, yes, it is first come first serve on the spot chosen
That was introduced because of COVID, so hopefully now that the world has opened up again, that will go away!
@@mckaysondeck it had nothing to do with covid ,it was a Notley money grab
That's not true. Only the rockies and foothills area of Alberta has the yearly fee of $30, all other crown land in Alberta is still free, and all of BC crown is still free as well.
@@WhiteCavendish In other words, only the places that people would actually go has the fee. Just a matter of time before B.C. follows suit I'm sure
@@bkgdnoize111 There are many other nice spots in Alberta for crown camping. I don't agree with the fee, but there is a lot of incorrect info floating around about it. We really need an organization like 4wdABC in Alberta to hold the government's feet to the fire over stuff like this, ensure that the $30 per year fee is actually going to enhance and support outdoor recreation in the area and not just a cash cow to be milked.
Crown land is the best place to camp. It has LOTS of trees and there is fresh air so you aren’t smelling car fumes ever 4 seconds and there is wild animals like deer bears etc
I completely agree! And yes, you do have to be careful not to invite the bears in!
@@mckaysondeck haha. one time we were camping and a bear got into our trash bag while we were sleeping
@@Countryboy404 That's enough to freak anyone out!
@@mckaysondeck yup!
Camping here is for free? It’s beautiful.
I know right?! I love this world!
It’s free but you cant build anything in crown land because the crown land is a protected area and it even has a Sasquatch mascot! There is also restricted areas that you can’t ride quads down.
Not anymore, have to buy a crown land camping pass now
Trust me the locals would like you too stay away plz
The earth is a place for everyone.
