- Finding fossils frequently for financial funding was Mary Anning’s sole source of income for most of her life, but she didn’t just find and sell fossils - she was one of the most accomplished palaeontologists of her time. Unfortunately she was also a woman, more specifically a woman from a lower class background, which meant that she did not receive the formal recognition she deserved in her lifetime.

If ancient egiptians were to write an email they surely would be using emojis.
Hieroglyphics were only used for special occasions 😉

please talk about Mary Seacole the black nurse 😍😍😍
if it helps you feel a little better about people getting recognition, I'm 14 and I learned about her in primary school, still not as good as it should be tbh since we still didn't learn about Marie curie or many others but I think people are slowly improving :)
I also learned about her and I'm 13. I think it was added to the curriculum
Im so excited

If you haven't done an episode on him yet, Charles R Drew, the father of modern blood banking would make for a good one.

Anyone else bothered by the fluff on cory’s microphone?
"We know how they built them, they used slaves" ah, so maybe they were whiter than we give them credit for.
