I have to admit that normally I'm very critical of these type of Gospel performances...BUT I actually loved this. I really like the song and I love the energy behind it. As far as the theatrics...well it ain't Sunday Morning for sure, but I still thought it was great. Considering a lot of blues and jazz was influenced by the gospel sound...I can only imagine that maybe somebody's church in the 30's or 40's was carrying on similar to this. Maybe one of those churches in Harlem, NY. I couldn't pull this off, but I could still teach it to my choir and rock it!!
There's a time and place for all things.this was not done in a church building. I don't think he is trying to make a mockery of God either. I believe he was going out into the world to tell of the goodness of Jesus. Yes it is a different way of reaching out. The Bible says David danced for Jesus. Do we know how he danced. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. I listened to the message. If this was a church setting definitely out of line. This is a video.

Loved it. I have been in Sunday morning worship services where the energy was similar and it enveloped all in attendance.
I don’t care what people may say this was a wonderful idea the late Rev. Clay Evans wanted the church to move forward and bring in more young youth and young Adults!!! It’s nothing wrong with the traditional Gospel music trust me The old school Gospel Singers are not complaining as long as they are praising God THATS all that matters.

One of the most innovating gospel songs since Richard Smallwood. I am 64 and I loved it. The big band sound was amazing. It reminded me of Morris Brown's Marching Band. You continue to praise the Lord. The video was entertaining and lifted our Lord. Keep up your gift as the Holy Spirit leads you.
