Biggest smiles at seeing this out there in the world!! Keep at it Ro, you're incredible!
Great video, looking forward to see what content you push forward.
So glad you started to put your thoughts out in public!! I'm STOKED to watch you progress through Spots
Feels good to get started! Thanks dude appreciate the support!
great vlog mate, keep it up! looking forward to seeing the next episodes!
Thank you! Appreciate it big time 🙌
A Brit in Canada? Hello from a Brit in Kentucky. I resonate quite a lot with you and where you're at in your dev journey for your project: I'm also working on a new project (web bases, so NextJS/React, rather than native). Networking is so important, yet I prefer my own company 😆 Enjoyed your video sir, I hope you maintain the motivation to complete the project, just like I hope I do too!
Yes! Ha love that, hello from Vancouver! I totally get that. I had to push myself to network but it’s with it! Thank you, I’m sure you will! You got this
amazing video Ro, keep it up
Lets go Ro! Great video 🤘
Thank you!!
great video , Im getting into react native myself. Looking forward to seeing more content like this !
Awesome! Hope you enjoy
Yo, such a chill intro. Loved how you presented that. Completely didn't realize I haven't subbed! Got that corrected right away
Thank you man, means a lot! Haha no worries! Loved the newest video by the way
@@Ro-codes thanks dude! I appreciate that! I’ve been getting some great comments so far
Love that! From someone who’s on the job hunt it was really insightful for sure!
Love the chill vibes 🤟
Thanks dude!
Let's go mate! subscribed!
Legend! Thank you dude
Nice vid, looking forward to seeing the progress. Subbed! cheers!
Wow thanks!! More coming out this Friday!
well done, you doing Great work
Nice video, keep going!
For the widget you may need to write some platform specific code
Appreciate the heads up, I thought this would be the case! Will be an interesting one to learn
Hey, nice to see someone from the current Buildspace S5 batch. Goodluck on your app.
Thank you!
Oh yeah!! Keep at it
Thanks Jovan!
never give up
just do it 🔥🔥🔥
Great video and chill vibes! What do you use for backend node js or something simpler like firebase. I was thinking of connecting to a Django server via endpoints
Thank you! That’s what the next episode is on! I’m using supabase for this one as I want something quick. But usually use node
Hello Ro, I think the music is a bit loud. It would be better if you could lower the volume a bit.
Hey, Thanks for the feedback! I did struggle with the levels, still figuring these things out. I’ll aim to fix for the next one 🙌
Wow... definitely loved this vlog. Im doign React Native and been struggling to get started working on my idea and this isna great boost. Would definitely love to have a chat sometime. You're an inspiration.
Thanks so much! I love that, starting is the hardest part, once you do that you’ll be flying. My emails always open!
Nice video bro! Looking forward to the next episodes
Thanks dude! appreciate it
React vs Flutter which one is best and what should we learn for future
Great question! I can’t speak for flutter as I haven’t used it but really like react native coming from a React background. Honestly, try both, the language and framework doesn’t matter as much as the idea and motivation
@@Ro-codes Any resources for React native to learn any channel , course etc
Honestly I’ve just used the react native documentation and expo as a well
If you're already a js / mern developer then go for React native.
Otherwise there are many ways to build apps [ assembly ] 😂 kidding , if you're
starting with only UI go for react native.
Otherwise kotlin / objective c , for more advanced options .
I don't recommend to learn a new programming language and framework just for UI 😅
Hey Ro! Let’s connect, I’m a react dev as well. Been wanting to work on a project with someone for a while.
Awesome, what’s the best way to connect?
Great vid! Background music is quite loud btw. I like to decrease music by 5 db and increase voice by 5-10db. It depends though, best if you let someone else preview before posting
Thank you! Yeah i did decrease it but the track levels were all over the place! Will bear this in mind for the next one appreciate the feedback
are you using expo cli?
Yes I am! Forgot to mention that
where do you get the phone templates used in figma?
If you go to the community search and search for iOS there’s an IOS design system file
heres the file - www.figma.com/community/file/1064199103905392260/the-survival-kit-for-ios-design-in-figma-ios-15
@@Ro-codes thank you very much
Hey Ro your videos really looks interesting and what do you suggest I am 16 I am focusing on solopreneurship and on my current project and i know how failure feels as i have experienced couple of time and my high school is going to start next month which is like 8:30am - 5pm I like to learn but some specific things and not for marks what should i do and also tell how to make videos like you and how to start yt.
Hey, failure is part of the process for sure! I've failed more times than I can count, just got to keep on going! I would learn something then try and put it into practice, don't just get stuck doing tutorials, go out and build something yourself. In regards to the videos I have no idea, this is my first time doing this! Again, just go and do it, learn along the way, main thing is to do and get hands on.
maybe u should hide the location data u just shown 🤣
keep it up bro!
Thanks bro! haha it's all good it's test data! Appreciate the thought though
bro did you learn javascript before learning react or not?
Yes, react is a JavaScript library. Always best to learn the fundamentals first
I want to connect with u guys so that i can learn how to build projects. And will be more than happy to contribute in any possible way
The algo recommended your vid, chill vibes. I'm in Buildspace S5 too! Planning to go to IRL
Ahh love that, thanks for watching! Awesome, share your project would love to check it out
@@Ro-codes Absolutely, I have an MVP but for some reason it's tough to screen record it properly
Hey there, its so exciting to see but I need to know one thing why don't you hire a developer , as they would work for you for $30k/year . and you will get plenty of time creating it.
let me know your thoughts
Totally get that, but I am a developer myself so can save that cost doing it myself!
Hey bro!
I can do a good design for your startup, let's talk about this?
Hey man, appreciate this, feel free to email me connect@rpdh.uk
are you going to post tutorials on react native ?????
Potentially! What would you want to know?
Great video.
Thank you!!
@@Ro-codes Would love to work with you on projects.
@@shad-intech cool man! Let’s talk
@@Ro-codes How can I reach out?
email is always open - connect@rpdh.uk
thanks for sharing your learnings dude. Here are some of my feedbacks to improve the content:
- Background music is too annoying and loud (use it only when you're not talking)
- Focus more on the CS side of the videos compared to day in the life kinda content
- Add a subtitle to your videos (see Jacob Sucks at Code)
- Make your videos shorter
Hey, appreciate the feedback thank you! Will take that onboard
@@Ro-codes And it's a lav mic… I don't understand why so many think it's made to be handheld. I liked the length tho. and please don't force subtitles on us!
@@FUBAU I know 😭 I like having something to do with my hands though! Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate the subtitles point
@@Ro-codes Ah, it's fine. Guess that is undoubtedly the reason most people do it. ;)
Aside from that, you will never be able to please everyone. Looking good so far, just find your schedule and try to be consistent.
That appears to be the most important for the YT-algo.
@@Ro-codes Hey, one more question: what's the name of your screen recorder?
Love your video and i wish you best of luck for the future videos :)
But can you please turn off the music in your next videos? The music is loud and annoying.
Thank you :)
Thank you, very much! I appreciate the feedback, I think I will for the next videos
dont drink it, there is a hair in your coffee pot 🙏
Noooooo, we're way past that i'm afraid. We'll get em next time
13:50 *awkwards in dev*
