Persons with 3, 6 or 9 month visas will be considered tourists.
There is a ticket office at the Penguins section and the beach. Tickets purchased at either can be used for both the penguin siting deck as well as the beach. At times the penguins do visit the beach side and you may get a chance to swim beside them. Strictly no touching or feeding the penguins as this specific species is endangered. The beach you may say is part of the Indian Ocean and hence is warmer than the more western side beaches as Clifton or Camps bay. a 20 minute drive along to coast towards the east will bring you to Muizeberg beach which is must visit if your missing the warmer waters of Durban or are an amateur surfer. Enjoy.
