He is a genius. God's gift. I have been listening to his voice since I was 10 years old.
This was sung by BMK as almost was Sung by SP Balasubramaniam for Shankarabharanam movie... along with Vani Jairam. For the film this song was composed by KV Mahadevan...
My favourite and great singer Dr.Bala Murali Krishna!
Language is telugu, not hindustani as mentioned in description. Also composer of the lyrics is Mysore Vasudevacharya. ( maybe of the music as well)
Please correct the description. Genre: carnatic classical; Language: Telugu (NOT Hindustani); lyricist and composer: Mysore Vasudevachar;
Raaga: Khamas
Singer: Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna
The singer is so great that any praise of his singing will be like "showing a light to the Sun."
Amazing rendition by BMK. He understands the lyrics and accordingly translates them to reflect the bhaavam.
No comments. Only hats 0ff.

Tygaraja compositions are the backbone of Carnatic music.. he was the composer.. don't post comments like these balamurali krishna was following tygaraja like all Carnatic vocalists do
oh god! he handles it soo carefully so lovingly...so pure and melodious!!

నా పాతక మెల్ల పోగొట్టి గట్టిగ నా చేయి బట్టి విడువక |
This is the one composed by Mysore Vasudevachaarya...But I do agree with you if you meant that all musicians have an obligation to Tyagaraja as a general rule.
"Broche vaarevaruraa... ninnu vina raghuvaraa' is written and music ( carnatic) composed was by the Saint Poet Mysore Vasudevacharyar . I have never see Guru Dr.BMK's video wherein his name is given as Composer except in cases where the kriti is really composed him. I cannot understand how come his name is said here as Composer?! Love Guru's rendition , rather his celebration of the kriti by his soulfull rendition. pranams to the great soul......
A very beautiful song.

Song composer is Sri Mysore vasudevacharya. Dr. MBK is the singer.
HARE KRISHNA SRI KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA SAN KIRTAN MOVEMENT ON THE STREETS AT HOMES EVERYWHERE HARE KRISHNA SAN KIRTAN ALWAYS HARE KRISHNA THANKYOU SRI KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA JUNE 5'2016 SUNDAY HARE KRISHNA THANKYOU SRI KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA
many people do not know that Shri Mysore Vasudeva chari himself praised MBK sir when he heard the keerthana DEVAADI DEVA sung by MBK. Shri MVC forgot that this keerthana is his own composition which MBK rendered in a kacheri when MVC was present. Shri MBK told him that this composition was his. Then Shri MVC remarked in praise that MBK popularised this keerthana, Devaadi Deva. That is MBK who are we to make any comment on MBK.
As hard as it is to do what I am doing (writing a negative comment about a legend), we all have an obligation to Tyagayya to do the right thing. Not remembering lyrics and missing talam are not what you would expect from a legend. Chittaswaram however was pretty good.
Is this from Tyagaraja or Mysore Vasudevacharya?
This kriti is by Mysore Vasudevacharya
Srinath Alamela, I fully agree with you in that being a legend doesn't mean that one can change the lyrics.
It's also a fact that it's because BMK is singing we all could make out the lyrics and point out the shortcomings. With any other singer we would hardly be discussing that aspect of Carnatic music. Missing talam is a rare bad day in office for him. 😀
Thank you.
What's the meaning ? Can anybody explain it to me
The devotee is praying Lord to bless him as he blessed Kari( Elephant ). elephant prayed him to rescue from the crocodile which caught the leg of the elephant while drinking water in a lake
Type "brochevarevarura lyrics with meaning" in google
Meaning overall is - Who else but you is my savior, I cannot let go of your Lotus Feet! Why then do you delay in removing my sorrows? Can you not listen to my pleas? The one who rushed to rescue Gajendra the King of Elephants ? Please hold my hand and do not let go!
Well You have very well understood the song and lyrics in it. You have written in simple english where every body can understand. IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND MOST MEANINGFUL SONG. One has to understand in depth. ONE CAN REACH DEFINATLY THE LOTOUS FEET OF SRIRAMA IN THIS LIFE ITSELF.
MY GREAT PRANAM TO COMPOSER .
🙏🙏🙏
Nice !
Dr. M. Balamurli Krishna has disappointed me in this krti. But, where I can't put my finger.
+Poornakumar Das , It always happens to other musicians who listen to his music. Dr Balamuralikrishna Sir shows them how the real music should be and obviously many musicians and music lovers gets disappointed and sometimes also feel ashamed of themselves. Kudos to Dr BMK Sir. Legends are not born very often !!!
this I assume was first sung by b s raja iyengar of Mysore around 1944 in kamach I am open to correction if wrong
I Think some of the lyrics were changed in this song!
nothing is changed sir.
Dr BMK, the legend sang it as its.
Bhaasuramuga is sung as Aatharamuga
both are same
bad meaning, not meeting , pl note the correction
Why Adaramuga was replaced by MBK is the first two letters of the original word perhaps gives bad meeting, hence the change, I think.
Sai Sukumara Babu Burra
Adaramuga us wrong, bhasuramuga is crrct..... Bhasuramuga means attractively in telugu
Also it seems MBK sir forgot the lyrics for a second because there was a bit of a gap.
It is neither adaramuga nor bhasuramuga. It is aaturamuga, which depicts the urgency shown by The Lord in rushing to protect his devotee in Ganjendra Moksham. Aaturamu in Telugu means urgency.
Thank you. I am aware that this is a Mysore Vasudevachaarya Kriti, however given that it is in Telugu, I am assuming (perhaps erroneously) that he was either a student directly or indirectly of Tyagayya. In any case Tyagayya embodies the spirit of Carnatic music, where in the individual and ego should be subservient to devotion and music. Sangeeta Gnanmu Bhakti vina....
Pranams to this mastreo.
But, very saddened to say that he lost track of taala and also lyrics. When one fumbles in the lyrics, entire Bhava/appeal goes of.
I am an ardent lover of this song and the legend spoiled it.
Best example of bad rendering in terms of lyrics by a legend
He was 83 when he sang this...to even be able to sing at this age at this level is tremendously hard.
U
Language = Telugu (not Hindustani)
