Hey man, I'm doing VCE Latin in a few years and if I'm being honest I've already been struggling a bit this past year. I was wondering if you had any tips on how to do well in it (memorising, useful websites etc)? Also, did you go to tuition for it? Thanks
Hi! I’d say that it’s really important with latin that you go into year 12 having memorised all of your grammar and vocab. Make sure you use quizlet or a flash card app to commit vocab to long term memory (with gender) and make sure you memorise all the declensions and conjugations of nouns, verbs, adjectives and irregulars. During year 12 make sure you focus heavily on your unseen skills, because that will play a large role in how well you can do on the exam. I personally didn’t go to any tuition for it. Hope that helps
thanks for this video eddy!! was just wondering if ur study time included homework and assignments???
Yeah it included everything! Homework, assignments, exam revision - any school work
God bless thank you
Hi! You mentioned that you didn't really take notes but just focused on practice exams. If I'm in uni, does this advice apply as well?
Hi, thanks for the comment! It may be a little different for you in uni, because you might not have an easy place to access information when you need it. Because of this, it might be helpful to take really concise summary notes for topics so that you can refer to them in case you don't understand the answer to a question. That being said, prepping for university exams will also work really well by doing as many practice questions as you can. Hope this helps!
@@EmilEddy Thanks, that helped a lot! Also wondering if you usually handwrite or type up your notes?
@@sarahc3743 I usually type my notes :)
hey i got a question. in year 10 you can take a year 11 subject for an advantage in year 12 so you can fit in another subject in yr 12 to make it a 6, right. i didnt do that... so i have no idea how you fit in 6 subjects in yr 12. ALSO what if your school doesnt offer a the language you want to do in year 11/12? did your school offer latin??? im pretty sure you can do it online right?????
You can do a 6th subject outside of school in year 12, but you don't really need one. My school offered languages, but again, you can do them outside of school. Doing them online isn't the best idea, as you might not get the best teaching
@@EmilEddy Dont you think it would be good to do a 6th subject language to boost your atar as much as possible? what do you mean you dont need one? isnt it good to have it?? how would you do it outside of school and somehow make it count towards your atar, like all the tests and exams for the subject??
Hey bru, did year 10 biology and got an A+ on the exam thinking it’s easy, how hard is year 12 biology?
Year 12 biology is easier than chemistry and physics and probably at a similar level of difficulty to year 12 psychology!
