@TerraRyzinglives: Joe's move to put Omar on Marlo at the card game would eventually come back to him. Marlo tried to have Omar killed, which prompts Omar to steal the Co-Op's shipment. Remember that Marlo wanted to kill Cheese because he was in charge of the shipment. To pacify him, Joe introduces Marlo to Vondas, which sparks his curiosity about the Greeks. This eventually leads to Marlo ordering Chris to kill Joe so he can take over the Co-Op in Season 5.

@gsdblack1 Prop Joe wanted to bring Marlo into the Co-op, but Marlo refused since he felt no one would mess with him, so the co-op would be of no use or help to him. As a result, Prop Joe put Omar on the poker game with the idea that once Marlo got robbed he would then decide that he could use the help of the co-op and would join them, which is exactly what happened.
