- Watch the tenth episode of the series, The Quest for Answers: Looking for the First Followers of Christ in Turkey. In this tenth show, we visit the city of Antakya, the old city of Antioch, where the followers of Christ were first called Christians.
The Church of Antioch is still alive within the Orthodox Church along with Alexandria, Jerusalem, Corinth, Ephesus, Thessaloniki, Colossae, etc.

Excellent presentation. Antioch was the chosen city that openly received Gentiles and became the center of the church after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

What is the effect of the earthquake to the churches?
Jesus and His Apostles were Aramaic-speaking Jews. They first spoke to other Aramaic-speaking Jews and got a mixed reaction. The second group of people who would have heard the Christian message would have been Aramaic-speaking Gentiles. Those in Antioch really dug it (Acts 11). All this makes sense. My questions are: Who were these Aramaic-speaking Gentiles? Where did they come from? And how, if any way, are they related to Judaism? Any history buffs out there?

"Through faith ALONE" is not biblical. It was Martin Luther who first added that word "alone" in Sacred Scripture during the middle ages. It cannot be found in any of the original translation of the Bible.

Can you please tell us what exactly happened to the 7 churches in Turkey, mentioned so nicely by Apostle John in the Book of Revelation (Smyrna, Philadelphia, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Laodicea, Ephesus).
Were they destroyed by the Muslim conquerors?
Or, were they destroyed by their own backsliding Christians?
The people there were either slaughtered by Muslims or fled to Greece, where their descendants remain in the Orthodox Christian Faith

Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)

We as believers in Christ, try to tell Orthodox Jewish people that Jesus is the Messiah for both Jews and non Jews, but some Jews refuse, absolutely refuse to acknowledge Jesus. I do not give credence to a non believer. I "argue" with people who say "Jewish people are the chosen".. I don't think they are "God's chosen" people. You must have the Son of God (JESUS) ..if you don't believe in Jesus, then you don't believe in God. You can't have one without the other. It's impossible

The obsession with the concept of innovation is weird here. There was no innovation with the idea of grafting the Gentiles back onto the tree of Israel.
