I have a hunting cabin built by Amish 24 years ago just as nice as the day it was built so listen to this guy !!!
Would have to use that small bedroom as a bathroom and then put washer and dryer in the hallway...also put in a wood burning stove...I do love the screened i porch and also an open porch ...not a bad little cabin...the loft would definitely only be for storage..
Usually "Amish" means no insulation, plumbing, or electricity.
They invented hand crafted and don't you forget it! 😮
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your service as well
Forget that one small bedroom, that would be my bathroom/laundry room and I guess the loft could be a storage room because I have to much stuff to fit in there.
If you have a wood heater or gas, you need a tube from the equipment to run tru a wall and outside to draw carbon monoxide outside, also get a smoke and carbon monoxide detector.
The Amish did it wrong w/ that ladder. Not everybody is able to climb. This feature eliminates a portion of your potential customers...And no bathroom. What is the buyer supposed to do...dig an outhouse??
The models do not have bathrooms in them, but they will add them for you when you designate which area you want the bathroom in
That’s crazy
Off Grid living at its finest.
Stop being an ass, the video says add elec and plumbing,
Video clearly says DIY
I wish I could get this in Ireland!
I wish I lived in Ireland.
Oh I would Love to have that house
So there is no bathroom?
Not bad. One step closer
The Cabin Cowboy!
Yes, I was able to tour their cabins
I’m amazed
It's a shoe box people
WOW, so many negative comments, I don't think folks know what they are looking at.
No bathroom. No hook ups for a washer and dryer. Do they wash clothes in a tub outside and then hang to dry on a string? The loft, well, could take it or leave it.
$79,000 turn key
I love the furniture they build, like that beautiful rocking chair that is made with twisted two tone wood. I don't believe the same way they believe, but I have always admired their artistic skills with wood! But who are you or anyone else to judge them or any other? You are not Almighty God! Only he can judge !
Not sure whom you were referring to, but there’s no judgment here, except to say that they do amazing work
Beautiful home but you need water and electricity.
So many Divas in this comment section. " but if it doesn't come with a toilet how am i supposed to poooooop?"
I need stairs.
Also no kitchen sink. ????
Be really helpful to give prices
Amishbuiltcabind.com I believe they have a price list there
Where can one of these be viewed/walked through?
In scotttsburg Indiana
Need a different ladder
What size are the exterior walls?
If they’re not a 9” Log, then it won’t have enough insulation.
That’s what I’m wondering…what’s the white stuff between them
@@paulmims9707 The White stuff between the logs and the interior walls is Tvek, which is a plastic vapor barrier.
If it’s between the logs then it’s calking but on log cabins the caulking is called “chinking”
There’s different types of caulking. Some people use mortar (concrete), which if applied correctly will last for a lifetime.
Would not work in Maine 4' rafters would not support the snow load.
That first bedroom is the bathroom. It's a 1 bedroom home (barely), and you wouldn't want to use the only closet in the place as a 1/2 bath. Also, there are barely any kitchen cabinets, no appliances, and the loft area is basically useless. The cherry on top was not having the price before making the video. 🙄Talk about wasting our time...
Bedrm and office
How can these homes be move in ready with no electricity and no bathrooms! I guess they are move in ready for pioneers! 😂😂😂
Once again, they will add it the models just don’t have it
Ridiculous calling that first room a bedroom
Too fancy for me. I'm thankful the electric and plumbing has not been put in. I don't want either. I will use a composting toilet. Way too many windows for birds and bears to break through. Birds on accident. Bears on purpose. I was wanting to hear about the Amish build quality and not so much about interior design. I would never be comfortable walking on that floor with my boots on. Again, too fancy. Too slick too. One of the top three reasons for moving into an old folks home is tripping and falling. I need a floor with grip. Rugs are a saftey no go also. I'm over six feet tall, the crowded entryway with a ladder and wall is a no go for my size. This looks like it would be a cool movie set. I also want a cabin that sheds the water NOT towards the entryways. Why do builders do that? Do they have a side hustle for rain gutters or something? Also, no cabinet doors for me. The walls are too cold in AK. Closed cabinets can get ice build up inside them. Then comes the mold. I'm glad you put the website in other comments. Of course nothing will make everybody happy. So I'm thankful for other options. After years of looking, I have not found a prebuilt cabin I'm willing to buy. I have seen some excellent ideas from small cabins at church camp getaways. Very basic. Made to last. Thank you for showing this cabin. Oh! I need a steep roof angle to shed the snow also. Gotta have the rounded head screws holding down the metal roofing. Or else the roof panel might slide off too from the snow and ice gripping onto a big hex head. 👍💪🙏
I don't care for that screen door. Other than that, really Beautiful log cabin homes. Again, how are we supposed to protect those wooden homes against termites?!
You could treat the wood with cedarcide.
The reason she don’t see a price is because it high as hell
But how well insulated is it? Not everybody lives in Florida...
They are in the Midwest here is a link to the company website amishbuiltcabins.com/
Those thin walls aren't insulated at all.😊
🤣…not insulated very well I wouldn’t think…and with wood expanding and contracting theres going to be be constant outside maintenance I would imagine
@@gregoryhodge9452 it has an R-value of 7.82 insulation
Also, how do we buy the land it goes on ?
You can hear traffic too much!!!
good grief jeff
The cabin isn't going to stay right there on that highway after you purchase it!😂😂😂
Once again these homes have no electricity! Wow
They will install electricity and plumbing, as well as HVAC when you purchase it they just don’t put it in the models. That way can be customized to what you want.
Oh no no no,,, that first room is so tiny 🧐... No washer and dryer connection? No room for a bathroom 🧐👎👎👎👎👎👎
What is the price of this house?
55,000
Does it come with an outhouse ? I guess the omnish don't like indoor bathrooms. 👎👎👎👎👎
Where’s the bathroom
Bathrooms are just so modern. Who needs one.🤣😂🤣😂
Too small for me
Bedrooms too small, hate the ladder, bathroom not in?
Sounds like it’s not for you then
No electricity or water hookups. Love it otherwise.
They will add the plumbing and the electrical they just don’t show it in the model
When you show one of those homes, you need to be up front about the water electricity. So you would not get all these stupid questions.......
I figured, since it was stated in the title that would be enough
What a joke
Everybody thinks Amish are so great they're just as money hungry and cut corners just as much as regular people do I'm so sick of hearing how great the Amish are on You think their quality is so great it ain't no better than the big manufacturers of these cabins The only difference is you're going to be paying a premium because it has the word Amish on it
I’m so glad you said that , it’s the truth. A person is better off building this building himself or checking around and contacting it out
The previous messege (in my opinion) reads as if written by a market Representitive of the Modular Home manufacturer s coalition.
Yeah sound as if they hate Amish or have some personal Ax to gring.
😅
Truth
