Even when kazuya's electric was busted in t7 no one really played him in tournament. He relies on a 50/50 or good defense . He will never be a top tournament character. Plus he's the most boring Mishima.

TMM overrates Alisa like crazy. He did the same in his T7 S3 tier list, putting her in top 10 and yet nobody outside of hardcore Alisa mains played her in tournaments. In fact, Ao switched to Kuni and Chanel played Eliza, Zafina or Kuni more often. Same thing in T8, even at EVO nobody played her except CuddleCore and Chanel. All the tier whores picked Feng, Drag, Azucena or Lili.
They thought that Tekken 8 would be more fun to watch with all these moves popping, but the opposite is true. There is no real tension in matches.. A big L.

In T8 the pace and offense is so fast you cant keep up. Edit: some of the replies are that tekken 8 shouldn't be tekken 7. I agree but my original comment was geared towards the balancing not the game identity itself. When equally skilled players fought at a pro level in tekken 7 the matches even timed out JDCR vs knee. But due to balancing issues and spammy meta game of tekken 8 even pro players rounds end like green rank players. Blink and you'll miss rounds kill its entertainment value for the viewers. Tekken 7 audiences used to chant because of its matches being balanced. Not with tekken 8 each round ends before anyone can get interest.
