I work in oral surgery as a dental assistant, we do patients awake and “asleep” for wisdom teeth or other extractions/implants etc…you will do amazing!! I know it’s intense & stressful to think about, but you got this!!

ALSO I was awake for my wisdom teeth being pulled, I had so much anxiety before hand but it wasnt that bad. The drugs afterwards lasted a bit nd made me loopy but you definitely got it in the bag! 🙏

When I had my wisdom teeth out, they said I would be awake the whole time but I do not remember a SINGLE second of it. It was as if I was asleep. I was super nervous and it ended up being the easiest, most pain free experience ever. The worst part was trying to swallow ibuprofen with my whole face numb haha--everything else was easy! Hoping for the same for you!!
I enjoy making content too much to take breaks 😂 I like keeping busy haha but you’re right and I’ll take some time to rest and recover over the coming weeks❤
I had to pull a tooth about 2 months ago while awake and it didn't hurt at all. They also give you local anesthesia before they pull it, you got this :)

Kel, you're a champ. It won't be a big deal. Wisdom teeth are rarely a problem, especially with good anesthesia. Even awake, long as your mouth is asleep, you'll be good. After though, gotta say, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol, don't do ANYTHING they say don't do, or the dry socket you will get will REALLY suck. Just, suffer, and keep it clean, for at least 24. That's the best advice. You WILL be fine. And best of luck to you from the USA for what that's worth.

Good evening! Awesome video Kel. Also, why are you not being asleep during wisdom teeth removal? Not even under anesthesia? Hope it goes good! I had all 4 of mine removed last July. Went to sleep woke up drugged up what felt like minutes but it was a 30 minute surgery. Regardless you’ll be fine. Take all their advice so you can avoid getting dry socket 😊 that’s what really sucks! good luck to you kel ❤
As long as they do their job and numb you good you wont feel pain. Just pressure and you may feel/hear the roots break if they are anchroed real good. Had mine done years ago, not bad.
It was quick, I felt more comfortable being awake and the doctor walked me through what he was doing and told me to alert him if I felt any pain and needed more local anesthetics
Don't worry about your wisdom teeth being taken out while you are awake. I had mine taken out awake. I also had ankle surgery twice with only an epidural and talked to my surgeon while he did the surgery. 😊
You won’t realllly be awake. You’re mind drifts out hahaha. I tried to stay awake and watch SpongeBob when they drugged me, and next thing I remember I woke up being rolled in a wheelchair. You’ll be fine
Getting your wisdom teeth taking out is a breeze. I know you said to not comment but I hope it makes you feel better. I got all 4 taken out it’s not painful at all. They pretty much numb you. I’d say the recovery is worse then the procedure 😌 you’ll be fine!

But I was thinking about how Australia has seemingly taken a similar approach to plastic straws as we have here in Canada (at least McDonalds). We also have the awful paper straws. But we were in the United States in May, and the McDonald’s there still had plastic straws (drinking from a plastic straw was like a guilty pleasure 😂) anyway, there’s my random thought of the day
Okay i know you said say nothing about wisdom teeth but i just wanted to let you know...... It's completely fine!!!😊 I know it's scary but honestly the nerves before hand is the worst part. I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out in the chair [whilst conscious] at 14 [a couple years ago] and i promise you that you actually can't feel a thing! It aches a bit in the process of healing afterwards but you will be back to normal in no time!! Gl girl u got this ❤❤ Also if it makes you feel better, i also live in Australia so we are most likely under the same health procedures / medicine 💕
