  • It's Måneskin time again!b My last reaction was so well received, that it motivated me to keep it hot and do one more.
    The italian band Maneskin has been releasing banger after banger, so today I will discover and strip their "Valentine" song as many of you requested in my last reaction video.
    This song is still slow and doomy, painting a Western dramatic landscape with lots of small details that makes another great production work from this rockstars from rome.
    Let me know what you think and what I should react to next!
    Ciao!

    Really nice reaction. Yes, you're right. Muse were... er... inspired (lol) by the music of Ennio Morricone. They probably did the same or perhaps, more or less consciously, they were inspired by traditional Neapolitan music (the ancient one, strongly based on Arab-Mediterranean-Spanish sounds). I would exclude the use of violins, for years (after their second album) they haven't wanted to use things in recordings that they can't reproduce live.

    Great reaction!
    This videoclip was recorded at the Hotel Plaza Madrid, in Mexico city.
    It's an abandoned building, and that's the main saloon of the hotel.
    They filmed another 2 videos of the latest album, at the same building...
    "The Driver" - at the roof top
    "Trastevere" - at the underground parking

    I watch a ton of Maneskin reactions, for they are my favorite band. You are by far the most technically-driven reactor-very impressive. When most reactors focus on the entertainment/pleasure quality to the music, you look at the depth. Don't mind the interruptions! Keep at it 👍🏻👍🏻 no one has yet mentioned that this song is very much inspired by one of Marilyn Manson's albums.

      Wow 😳 thank you so much!!! I want to keep it entertaining but honest , every video will get better.
      I also state at the beginning of my video how the video is going to be, but unfortunately some people are just skipping it or dumb

    I really like the breakdowns you're doing, pointing out what happens at which point, very interesting for someone like me who wouldn't hear many of those details without help. Thank you!

      The band hasn't really given any details about the song, only that it's meant to maintain an uneasy feeling throughout without easing up and they also described the guitar solo as "the voice of anguish" to convey the pain, as you also pointed out.
      Damiano is their main lyricist and he broke up from a longish relationship earlier this year, so maybe there are some echoes of that in the song.

    The complete music video is available on YT to anyone that wants to listen and watch. Just tell people to watch the video in full, and then watch your analysis which ads a lot to the experience.
    Lots of reactors have trouble with original Maneskin content being copywrited. Only fan live performances sometimes avoid copyright issues, and their audio is often poor.

      Thanks! Check my other reactions where the labels are not c**TS and allow the song to be shown completely. Unfortunately the label of Maneskin doesn't allow a full song to be displayed and I had to cut it down

    I think u could make reactions avoiding copyright, in another way, I saw many reactions to the same song with one or two interruptions, u can for exemple give a blur to the video, some filters, but please don't make reactions with so many interruptions, it's useless..

    • @patroden
      @patroden  Před 6 měsíci +10

      I like my reactions this way. It's a problem that has to be dealt with, since some labels like to block whoever uses their music. Others have no problem and you can find reactions in my channel that leave the whole song without any concern.

    • @cas9065
      @cas9065 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Not useless for me. I don't know as much about production as Diego, so I really love the way he helps me hear stuff. But I usually have listened to the song before on the original channel, so this is to give me a deeper appreciation. I usually don't get anything out of reactions that really just let a song play and then say 'that was nice'. What do you consider to be the right amount of interruptions for you, and what do you get out of them?

    • @fabio6947
      @fabio6947 Před 5 měsíci

      I get it, but usually we want an emotional reaction not only technical, and with 7 seconds of song and 30 seconds of interruption is impossible.. U lose All the emotions of the song. I like too technical reactions to understand better some stuff, U can do it listening 30 seconds and reacting.. As the majority of the reactors. But ok, it's a matter of tastes...

    • @cas9065
      @cas9065 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@fabio6947 I think you are spot on with tastes. It is a bit like sharing music with a friend and getting to rediscover it with them as if with new ears, right? The shared emotional experience? Been a renegade for a year now. Somebody has a really fun breakdown of the typical rollercoaster of thoughts and emotions reactors go to when they try to figure out the song. Love it. But there are already plenty of reactors out there who do that. There are fewer of the ones that actually have some new perspective through their experience, like this one here. Couldn't we just allow for both and choose the ones that align with what we are looking for? Now, if some reactor clearly misses something in the music, or misinterprets something, or uses bad equipment, those things should be pointed out. But the style there choose is about taste, not quality. And if you complain about too many interruptions here, it I do on another channel about too few, we are impacting the joy that the other gets from that journey, and we don't respect the stylistic freedom of the creator. Or at least that is how I see it. Thank you for engaging with me and explaining. I think I understand comments like yours a little more now.

    • @fabio6947
      @fabio6947 Před 5 měsíci

      @@cas9065 I simply say that, also if You want to make a technical reaction, not emotional(that often are fakes), to interrupt every
      5/7 seconds don't allow you to appreciate and understand everything as you want.. Fiirst of all you lose the song..the melody, the rhythm, after that you lose the sound contest, you cannot judge a song for any note o few seconds..Everybody of us knows the song already, correct, and some of us are looking for emotions in the others people, sometimes we look for a technical opinion, he is good sure, from the beginning you understand he will stop frequently, my suggestion was to make the same with less interruptions, if it's a technical decision, I desagree, if it's due to a copyright matter, I can understand, that's why I suggested how to avoid this matter. For your comment, let me translate better the meaning cause my English is terrible😂😂
