Ilocano is not a dialect… it’s a language same as Filipino or English

Growing up in Manila, my mom would talk to my aunties in Ilokano so I understood and learned a bit. We moved to CA and my Ilokano words got shuffled into oblivion. Then you came through my insta feed -- the long lost words started to trickle in. It's the kuya Jake effect haha! So inspiring how you embraced the culture and learned not only one but another Filipino dialect. That's totally insane!
