Here comes some highlights from the game 6 of the 2011 Tri Nation between the Wallabies and the All Blacks. Great win from the Aussies, what a performance a few days before the Rugby World Cup 2011 !!

Im aussie and im not fighting with the kiwis cause their our brother/sister nation were the unstoppable force' the best in the commonwealth. But fuckin oath our rivalry in sports is ridiculous XD

After 2011 tri nations defeat All blacks went to win world cup after 2 months, then again in 2015 they lost rugby championship and went to win world cup in England.
wallabies are improving every year, i have respect for the ab's though there a great team

was a close match, both teams did very good. :)
Australia should have a very good world cup, although New Zealand should still be worthy favourites in their own country. This loss here will iron out any mistakes.
I'm an England fan and I think Aus and NZ might give us the run around, so much pace.

Im glad that AB's experienced a loss before the RWC. Hopefully this will prepare them mentally so that they dont get too confident and choke in the critical stages of the tournament. Wallabies are looking dangerous... but im sick of people talking about cooper all the time. yes he's good, but without a doubt the wallabies best in form player is Genia..

@blUdz18 yes you did. Four years ago. we won the four nations last year as well as being the number 1 ranked side in the world and going undefeted in 2011. We played you three times last year and you never got within 10 points of us

My money is on England and Australia to contest the final of the world cup come October. New Zealand don't have the character or mental attitude to go any further than the semi-finals.

@openblue07 From an aussie: I agree with you, it was a great win for the wallabies but the All Blacks would have definitely learnt alot from this and they will obviously bounce back, its not often that they lose twice.

Considering that Australia is mainly an AFL, NRL and Cricket playing country I'd say we're allowed to be proud that we beat New Zealand at their own game. Australia is not a strong rugby union playing country like New Zealand. It's like us asking you guys to get together an AFL side and play against us? You wouldn't stand a chance!
This may be the best thing to happen to the ABs, I thought all year that they would walk all over everyone else on the way to the world cup, stride through the pool play and, loose in knock out stages because of complacency. Finally they know that they have to play 80 min to win each game in the WC and have a chance to win the whole thing.

Australia only won the tri nations that year because NZ and SA rested players for the WC 2011. Poor ozzies were given a false sense of hope

There is no doubt Australia are a great Rugby playing nation. They are almost right up there with the ALL BLACKS. The AB's set the bench mark and the rest try to reach it.
That has always been the case. All the great Rugby players from any team will say the same.
The AB's are so great that the rest of the world changed to the AB's style of play, they had too because they were being carved up and made to look stupid on the paddock unless they made drastic changes.
One way was they moaned and moaned and moaned to the IRB and referees who reacted and have had it in for the AB's ever since.
We know the referees restrict the AB's in a lot of matches simply to increase the gate takings which increases the IRB takings.
It is sooo obvious to see that as an AB's supporter we cringe every time we see a poor decision against the AB's which a blind bat would have seen. So obvious, and it happens almost every international game!
All blacks have beaten the wallabies in suncorp stadium 7 win and 1 lost.. Since robbie deans has been coach..

I am from NZ, and wish Quade Cooper all the best. My daughter was born in Australia and was terribly upset. However, she always mentions 16-6 to me an awful lot.... she loves Sonny Bill Williams, but has gone off him after he was mean to her darling Quade.
Still. Looking forward to life after the cup. I guess the Boks and the Aussies will be partial to cooked goose (kiwi?). The Puma will probably enjoy a piece also.

@curtisbadger Australia are good, they could be great but the mentality of the team is fragile. Hence the O'Connor ban and the supposed fight between Quade Cooper, O'Connor and Beale.
If they have enough confidence they could be the new 2007 All Black team, stacked with talent but frail under pressure. That's the reason that Graham Henry has the most experienced All Black test side in history, but with new talent to push through aswell, eg. Dagg, Guildford, Read.
I think AB gave up this for the RWC.

To beat the all blacks you have to build a rugby field on every corner and make it your number 1 sport otherwise you have no chance Afl is bad for australian international sport
NZ and AUS on the same page, we're the bigger country in rugby union. so when yous beat us its a shock. when we beat yous in NRL its a shock, know what i mean

@mmattmann that game was about as fair as a Zimbabwean Election bru!! but sadly if's and buts don't cut it!! All we ask for is a fair contest... mistakes will be made... no ref is perfect and I can appreciate that at times he gets it wrong but that game and a number of other games under his rule where just very one sided in terms of the 'mistakes being made'.. if you actually take note of the break down laws you would see that we where robbed blind... but hey we used to it!! :) take care Matty
@zeroyon07 didnt see that match, but pocock does as much as mccaw in a match and dosent get nowhere near as much publicity and fame, ab vs wallabies in the semi final they were equally good :/
check out mccaw holding pocock down on the Nonu try. Pocock waves his arms in the air and shows the ref he's been held down - but the ref ignores it.
Filthy cheats - pocock was exactly the man to fill the gap that nonu ran through as well.
