So does this mean that the audio output is through 3.5mm and that has to be connected to the center console to hear audio? Does it not connect to the system's bluetooth?
When making phone calls does this unit affect sound quality of the car's microphone or the incoming caller's sound quality? Also, do all the steering wheel buttons still work with Android Auto, such as the volume control, etc...

A few questions now that you've had it for a few weeks:
- Did you ever go back and mount the USB connection in your glove box?
- Is your phone still connected to OEM Bluetooth, or do you remove/clear because it's connected to Android Auto?
- After installation you showed the head unit's initial splash screen, but never actually launched Android Auto. I'm assuming after you start AA, it shows Google icons, maps, etc...? If so, is there a way to boot directly into AA without stopping on the splash screen?

- no, I don't think I will ever need it. It streams spotify so I think I'm good on that.
- I haven't disconnected it to the OEM bluetooth, but somehow it just works on the Android Auto side too. Seems like it knows somehow.
- when I turn my car on, it'll default to INFINITI side. All I have to do is press and hold the back button, and it'll switch over to AA immediately. No need to do anything else. No need to select android auto. BUT if I turn my car off and back on within a short period, it'll go straight into AA, since the headunit doesn't "shut down" until after a bit. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, it goes into the camera automatically if you into reverse, or press the camera button.

Yup, when you put it in reverse, or hit the camera button, it switches over seamlessly

Are you still able to see changes in AC controls when in AA?
I also see a screen board on the website, I'm assuming you need to dismantle the screen and install it. I didn't see that in your video and wanted to confirm if that needs to be done?
Yes it shows the crucial AC info (fan speed, temp, air location) for a short time when you touch the ac controls.
No you do not need to dismantle the screen. The screen board is probably for something else. Not needed here.
does the hardware knob still work to navigate the screen? I don't like the touch screen, it is indeed old tech and hard to use
Yup the knob works inside android auto

@@TigerTrussell not sure what you mean by that. Are you asking if the knob works in the INFINITI OS side? if so, then yes. works like normal. Nothing on the INFINITI side changes.

No, the whole point of adding this unit is to be able to use Android Auto/Apple Car play for maps
