They changed their rating system because it used to annoy me that they'd rate a prime Dirk in the 80s since their rating system didn't factor in his amazing, one of a kind offensive talent, and punished him for his defense.

They didn’t really change the rating system. All they did was just add a fluff stat called intangibles, so people would stop being butthurt about ratings for players who are ass in defensive stats.
