@@eagleye2893Now I want to preface this by saying I’m aware that Bi-Han was not a saint. But I would say there is lots of proof that shows he was a neutral character that was misguided by the work he did with the Lin Kuei. For example, he is disturbed to find out he is only surviving in the Netherrealm due to his soul being tainted by evil from the work he does and seeks redemption through retirement. He’s disturbed to find out about the Shirai Ryu’s demise. There’s Raiden telling him that he can still redeem himself which shows he isn’t evil by nature. Then there’s the fact that his deception ending explains that if he were human he would have been proud of Kuai Liang’s strength but his soul had been stripped of compassion. Plus there is the fact that Kuai Liang tries so hard in the old timeline to free Bi-Han, which he wouldn’t do if Bi-Han was evil as Sub-Zero.
They turned Mileena, Reptile and Baraka on good guys in the new timeline. I think that's fair that at least one good guy also becomes evil, and Bi-han was a easy target

I feel like that was the whole point
@@waterking74Kuai doesn't want revenge, he made a new clan to defend Earthrealm. Since Lin Kuei refuse to do that
Won't lie, I have a feeling Bi-Han was badly mistreated as a child. It feels like his father was way more strict and pushed him way harder considering he was the clan's heir, and this turned Bi-Han into a cold, unloving person who started to resent his father. That's why he's so over ambitions and tries so hard to prove himself as superior, even if it comes at the cost of family and morals. I'm just speculating here cause I hate that they try to portray his father as being this "great man" and Bi-Han just being evil for no apparent reason.
They re-wrote his character terribly. Bi-han was a man with honor and certain rules and he did not murder scorpions clan in the original timeline.
Why do they assassinate his character again?
@@mel-el5862Nope , Bi Han was always evil. In the previous timeline, the Lin Kuei grandmaster (Sektor's father) made a deal with Quan Chi to eradicate the Shirai Ryu. Bi Han (who was Sub Zero at the time) was to steal Shinnok's amulet from Raiden's temple, and assassinate Hanzo Hasashi, the leader of the Shirai Ryu (both of which he accomplished.) In return, Quan Chi annihilated the rest of the Shirai Ryu (including Hanzo's wife and son) and finally ended the two clan's rivalry. Quan Chi later revived Hanzo as Scorpion and you know the rest.

Bi-Han’s ambition for his clan to prosper is something I like about him. He will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. Remember, the lin kuei were ALWAYS a clan of assassins. It wasn’t until MKX-MK11 they were reformed by Kuai liang to be protectors of earthrealm. Bi-Han is neither good or bad. Though I’ll say, his ambition has made him choose alliances poorly, but it’s the fact that he put his clan first above all… even family. The pursuit of power is what i like about him.

Bi Han is grandmaster, he wanted to take the Lin Kuei to new heights rather than being complacent. In the MK universe being hard and cold is probably what is needed to achieve that.
But sadly it only bring misfortune in later year for him
He became Grandmaster by letting his dad die and took the Lin kuei to new heights by abandoning their role to Earthrealm as its Defenders and instead betraying it.
That's showing them how it's done.
Just so everyone knows, Bi-Han was never this bad in either timelines. Although, it is important to know that NRS or Midway was never that great at being consisent.
In the original timeline, Bi-Han spared Sareena & he was incredibly despondent when Raiden told him he would go to Hell if he remained the way he was. He also left instructions for Kuai Liang on how to defeat Shinnok in MK 4. In Armageddon, the last MK game in the 3D/Midway era, Kuai still wants to find a way to save him despite him trying to kill him as Noob Saibot & Noob's ending Bi-Han is trying to fight Noob Saibot so he can regain control over himself again. But the end result was an amalgamation of Noob Saibot & the Original Sub-Zero.
In the NRS era, after Bi-Han died at the hands of Hanzo again, Cyrax was incredibly pissed off & swore he would find a way to avenge Bi-Han against Scorpion. They dropped this idea because Cyrax became a Cyber Lin Kuei. Raiden was also disappointed in Bi-Han's death as he did appreciate what Bi-Han in Mythologies as he monologues all this to Cyrax. Which confirms that Mythologies did happen in the NRS Era. Which in turn, was the start of Cyrax Heel-Face turn. In MK X Sareena apparently still harbors some feelings for Bi-Han & he played a huge part in Sareena becoming a good guy again.
In MK 11, NRS seems to be committed to making Bi-Han evil. While both intro dialogue interactions should be taken with a grain of salt, Kuai went to looking for Bi-Han in MK X to resenting him so bad that he disowned him in MK 11.
What makes Bi-Han being a bad guy so disappointing in the New MK 1 is that nearly every villain that was antagonistic became either decent people or part of the good guys. And yet, despite Liu actually going out of his way to give every bad guy a 2nd chance, Bi-Han somehow got worse & now he's a villain. The only ones that are still evil are Shao, Quan Chi, & Shang Tsung. Both Havik & Nitara aren't actual villains as they are antagonistic. Plus, MK 1 Havik isn't the same Havik from the 3D era. So apparently, Bi-Han is somehow just as evil as Shao, Quan Chi, & Shang Tsung. That's just so incredibly stupid.
OG Movie had evil bi han too. also 2021 movie did as well
You clearly forget how Bi-Han embraced his identity as Noob Saibot even in MK9, even going as far as to say that Kuai Liang is not his brother straight to his face (“Though we share blood, we are not brothers”). Bi-Han has been evil since MK9. Whether or not he was evil before then I have no idea, but he was evil since the beginning of the NRA era
@@mrsoisauce9017You didn't understand until now that Noob saibot and Bihan Subzero are not the same, it was Noob Saibot who rejected Kuai Liang and not Bihan alive, it's no wonder Kuai Liang was full of excitement talking to Bihan because he thought he was the same person. Even now that Bihan is different from before he didn't reject Kuai Liang and he even tried to make Kuai Liang understand and stay by his side but Kuai Liang rejected it.
@@rm4kt530we never saw NRS Kuai Liang until after Bi-Han’s death, so you can’t be so sure of that. The NRS era retconned a LOT of shit from the previous games

E.g., Bi-Han does not resist Liu Kang when he helps him "test" the champions, but he is prideful enough to chafe at a few minutes' wait. Bi-Han is kind enough to Tomas that Tomas "idolized him" when they were younger, and he calls Tomas "one of us", but at the same time hisses at him to mind his place because of his bloodline. Bi-Han is patient enough to spend years under Liu Kang, listening to Tomas and Kuai Liang remind him every 5 minutes about their father, but stupid enough to side with a sorcerer he KNOWS is a habitual liar instead of leaving Liu Kang at... literally any other time. Bi-Han hates their father to the extent that his father's death is one of his fight taunts, but he was not willing to kill the man himself? He proclaims to several characters that he does not care what happens to people outside the Lin Kuei but he expresses sincere regret at Sindel's death to Kitana in an intro despite disliking her approach to rule. Basically he's not nice and has immense pride of being one of the deadliest of the Lin Kuei...But despite that, he has a chance to be better but it never came. This timeline unfortunately never addressed this and he never got the development.
It’s so weird seeing Kuai Liang as Scorpion in this timeline.
Gonna miss my dude Hanzo Hasashi, Grandmaster Hasashi!
At least he’s living happy ever after with his family and clan
Let's see if i'm gonna be right in the future: Hanzo is gonna become the new Scorpion after Bi-Han kills Kuai Liang, and Kuai Liang will become the new Noob Saibot, which is gonna be a good guy this time around.
Hanzo is a kid in this timeline.
*Homelander:* You should join the seven, Smoke.
Really hate this version of Bi-Han. Sure, Bi-Han was no saint in the two timelines before this one, but at least the excuse for his actions was him being corrupted by dark magic when Quan Chi resurrected him into becoming Noob Saibot. And even then when Bi-Han was the original Sub-Zero, he tried to did what he thought was right. He even once saved Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and even a member of the Shirai Ryu, that being Scorpion, from Kano and his onslaught of gunfire.
This version? He's just a power hungry jackass who's willing to step on anyone, including his own family, in pursuit for power. Hell, it's revealed that he let his father die in order to become the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei.
Bi Han looks like the ice age baby all grown up
“Deja De Leer El Mapa Tomas!”
-Bi-Han
Look how they massacred my boi.

Déjalo en paz musculoso es solo un pasante, ya es malo que no reciba paga
I understand they needed an interesting story plot but in the OG timeline Bi Han actually wasn’t that bad of a guy. He defeated Quan chi AND shinnok and felt genuinely bad about handing over the amulet to shinnok and made it his duty to defeat them he as well with Cyrex wasn’t on board with the cyber initiative and seemed to have some standard of morals and code about him. Noob Saibot was not Bi Han. So I’m a little sad they made him more of a Villain in this new timeline.
You Can Feel the Lack of the likes of Sektor and Frost on this Campaign and i like this Idea of Kuai Liang being the Founder of the Shirai Ryu Clan
I like how Bi Han wants to abandon his fathers principle of waiting until its your turn. How's he going to go to the doctor? Just break down the door and throw out the current patient so he's seen right away?
Man can’t we have the Bi Han from the MK Sub Zero game he was an asshole but he had Earthrealm in his best interest
Actually he didn’t have earthrealm’s best interests, he was as much of a asshole there as he was in this game. In the sub zero game he stole Shinnok’s Amulet for Quan Chi.
@@henrydavel1440 yeah i forgot that detail and then Raiden showed up and guilt trip him to getting it back. But Bi Han still defeated Qian Chi and Shinok so even if he was an asshole he practically defeated MKs version of Satan.
Today I learned that smoke has the same name as me and listening to sub zero saying my name gave me chills lol
I just realized even MK11’s Subzero voice wasn’t this harsh.
In fact, I think they did a MK11 Noob Saibot, fitting since they’re the same character, and they both have deep as fuck voices.
MK11 Sub is Kuai Liang, the good guy.
@@mlo009I know. Kuai Liang also had a kind of deep voice in MK11, I’m saying Bi-Han has the deeper human voice, period.
He did NOT talk to Daddy Yuri like that
Yo that’s Jin Sakai voicing scorpion
Very good choice
