Two weeks before the Class 43 went out of traffic I went on a 166 from Windsor to Slough and then the 43 to Paddington. The other way in the morning the 802 a the 166. Back home in Sweden I found the exact timetable slots for all of them. No 802, of course. And the Windsor train went out of the portal and came back on the slot back to Slough at the exact time. So if the branch had gone all the way, I could have copied the whole trip I made IRL.Well done DTG!
Still one of most fave routes!
I remember a 120 mph section around East Midland Parkway. This route is not too bad considering the development.
Would be nice if they revisted the GWML to be honest. Give it an extension to Oxford or Swindon + the branches and set it in 2018 (so you get IETs,Class 360,Class 387 on top of the existing 165 and HSTs), that way, people can get a modern GWML with the electrification and IETs but those who want HSTs can still drive them
Dont forget the Class 345 Elizabeth Line as well
Only issue is that the gwr license expired and the operator doesn't feel a need to renew it so dtg couldn't make anything. They could remaster the existing section but that's about it really
@@potatoman451 Yeah, thats the sad really unfortunately. I think some more BR would be solid for a GWML route, but im not sure whether DTG would want to do another route for British Rail themselves, as i think more people would prefer modern UK routes iirc
FYI Ealing Broadway serves the CENTRAL & DISTRICT LINES.

I think the gwr route deserves a revamp or atleast full eletrification (idk if i spelt that right) since we now have a 801 i think it would be really cool!
Remaster is much more likely. Electrification is off the radar because dtg don't have a gwr license which expired and gwr don't see it as a priority
My 3rd favourite route. Need Waterloo to Southampton as well (or even extended to Exeter) now.

The lack of Thames Valley Branch Lines and Class 165 is what ruins this route for me!
Hopefully they completely redo the route in future. Heathrow, Thames Branches & maybe to Oxford.
No please no we just had yet another route redone for full price the last thing we need is another one 😂
