God it works so well, the deceptive cadence as the tonality switches from Major to minor is just beautiful and so powerful at the peak of the song

I imagine a kid who was locked up (not like rapunzel but as in imprisonment) and dreamed of a perfect world, but once they got out there they realized it was the same either way, and they became furious, so they retaliated, and became the villain when they wanted to be the hero

"Strolling BY the sand", not IN it. It's course and irritating... and gets everywhere.
It does give me a vibe of a young hero who has a soft and carefree attitude with a humble goal but slowly gets mocked and shunned by other people until they did something to him which ultimately breaks him to the point of seeking the revenge.
2:20 i literally have a character who embodies this perfectly his name is Florence and when he was a kid, he wanted to be a knight in the kingdoms Arch Knights, when he got promoted to Arch Knight leader after years and years of training and admissions, the attention started chipping away at him and he started feeling like it wasn't worth it. The story is still a WIP but thats it so far and imagining it is so fun

This feels like a hero growing a desire to go out and explore the world, only to cut at the end to him as a grizzled warrior having witnessed so many horrors and tragedies that combat and bloodshed has become his new normal.
Basically, going from Episode 4 Luke Skywalker to Guts from Berserk.
See for me, I picture this as a Naive and Optimistic Young Hero, who finally has his dream become true BUT! After decades he's a Hardened and Terrifying Warrior, ruthless and with a dramatic flair

So my friends and I are planning to do a D&D game based in Genshin impact. Listening to this gave me the idea of making a character that will gain their trust and later betray them by killing Zhongli through a sword in the back right in front of them. Gives me thrills, they are so gonna hate me as their dungeon master.

At the end the hero sings of his victory with his girl, but the camera fades to a figure clad in black walking through a village, aflame weilding a twisted smile and a sword dripping with blood. The camera does a close up as they put on their helmet and mutter "Ill see you soon enough -hero's name-"

When I listen to this i picture my last D&D character: a young sorcerer with draconic Bloodline starting his first adventure leaving his family knowing he have a home to return to. Then switching to him at the end of his story, full of scars and more sinister draconic traits with no family to return to, turning his enemy to ashes.
An innocent character that gets dissheartened and destroyed by the reality.

I need to make this tiktok for my Artificer. An 18yo newly-minted smith with a dose of wanderlust and an urge to see what's outside the city; now a 34yo alchemist who has waded through the results of unchecked human experimentation, who has been confronted with just how subjective humanity is, and who no longer cares about spilling blood to defend the meaning that they still see in humanity.

A bright eyed prince day dreams of living among the peasants, free of responsibilities. One night he sneaks out of the palace to enjoy the a festival pretending to be a peasant until he was kidnapped by opportunistic bandits who though he was a lesser noble's child.
After suffering at their hands the once innocent young prince grows to be the tyrant he is known as today. Constantly reliving the pain he went through at the hands of the bandits.

When your party topples the BBEG Ruler from his throne… and then the bloody work of vengeance for slain family, lovers, and friends truly begins because it’s all your party has left. I mean let’s be honest in history this happens a lot.
I can relate to this because in the very beginning it is hopeful wishing to be included only to be rejected and subjugated to suffering then when the final act has been completed the once young hopeful is now cold and bitter
this truly is an amazing mix
The symphonic journey of a hopeful and brighteyed hero who is tested and tempered by the cruel world. Until they are broken by it. By the sheer magnitute and vastness of the injustice that they are complicite and witness to. And choose to become a force of darkness and malice the likes of which overshadows the darkness of the world itself.
