I think the game could become pretty boring if he does not start to follow the story. I mean, he has some missions in his notebook which he is not following. Oh, and he should use more bottles so he does not waste precious weapons.

You have all the parts for the radio already I think, they are marked as quest items so they are in the purple section of your backpack. that’s how you get more of the story. Also if you go around the corner in front of your bus there is a free bow at your base
-ps, if you upgrade your survival crafting station enough you can make your own medicine

jacksepticeye it’s ok, it took me a while to figure out what to do as well. Its not super clear on how to progress when you start, after that first bit the rest is pretty easy to figure out.

Jack, you already have the microphone from the last episode; (and the antenna and battery!) they're in the 4th / Quest page of your backpack. Put them on the radio in the bus driver area to start the story. Otherwise you'll be stuck in this loop forever and the game gets harder with every passing in-game day. (more zombies, less loot) This is probably the most fleshed out VR game to date, and it's a joy to play through! ;)

In case you didn’t know, the game actually has voice detection, so shouting five feet away from the zombies ISN’T a good idea...
I think you have to enable voice detection. As far as i know it isn't enabled by default.
Plus he tested it more than once, but I think it would be sick if he turned it on eventually. Maybe after finishing the game the first time do a "hardcore" run with the voice detection on.

I got this game yesterday and I’ve been playing non-stop it’s really amazing, sometimes I forget I’m in VR and get scared it doesn’t look scary watching but hell is it terrifying.

To be fair, my first time playing I also ended up drinking stuff and eating stuff. You lose health, sure, but you gain stamina! Turns out, getting/making medicine is A LOT harder than getting/making food, so to sacrifice max health for max stamina is just not wise unless maybe you're literally starving and can't effectively run or fight. To run or fight or climb requires stamina. Probably better to sacrifice maximum health and get a little bit sick, but still be able to fight and run, than to have good max health but struggle to fight or run due to starvation. Making food a priority seems important early on. Protein, sugar, spice, water, stuff like that. Ought to be obvious I suppose, but it's easy to get distracted by the ultra-important upgrade components like workable metal and wood scraps and 'nuts and bolts.'
Also Jack: 29:15 throws medicine into the recycling bin instead of fixing his health.
