Get well soon! 🤕 A tip, without guarantees: adding cayenne pepper can combat some bacteria. There are a few related scientific studies, yes. So when I have food that is a little too old for comfort, I fry the heck out of it and add cayenne pepper. Rice or pasta balances it out, right? 😎
Oh! I have another tip! 😊 Get a daylight bulb and put the lamp on a timer. Waking up in the winter becomes much easier then. Try it! It's amazing what a difference it makes.
You made my week with your peaceful video. My spouse passed away last Monday and I was busy making all the final arrangements for the funeral. Making sure everything was perfect to honor him. As I was relaxing with my coffee on the rainy morning I found your video. Bless you!

Im amazed at the food prices in Japan. Here in the USA, the things you purchased would have cost 3 times as much!!

I was thinking the same thing. I wish I could buy that much food for those prices.
I came in to say the same. Carrots, milk, mushrooms, potatoes, and especially the persimmon were so cheap!!!
A tip from 81 year grandmother for your consideration….. use a bag (can be small paper one or zip lock plastic one) put your flour and spices in bag and close and shake mix. Add meat in bag and shake-shake-shake. Lift out meat to skillet. Save flour in bag for recipe gravy but don’t save for next day cause bacteria will grow in it.
Just a question. Wouldn't putting the bag of flour in the refrigerator immediately prevent bacteria growth until ready to use?

I was taught never wash towels with clothes because the towels leave lint on the clothes. Also never wash white clothes with dark as the white clothes will start to become dingy looking. Just an fyi. Thankyou for another lovely video

I am much older than you, however what I realized is that there are so many of us around the world, of all ages, who experience living alone and who are alone much of the time.
You have taught me a lesson in your videos I have seen so far. Even being alone, you take care of yourself, you do nice things for yourself, and you celebrate yourself and life. I am 62 years young, and I don't do these things for myself like you do. You make yourself a priority in your life. Thank you for showing me how I need to be my own priority and to take care of myself and love myself. I am very important! It's time for me to prove it to myself. You are such a nice girl. Oh my - sorry that you had a bad reaction to leftovers. I had a bad case of food poisoning once and now I am super careful about leftovers or food left out for longer than a hour (and even then). Anyway so glad you could meet with your friend, and hope everything works out gettng your family to visit.👍

Just a suggestion....first put garlic and roast it well then put Onion.....it leaves good taste....and hope you get well

Thank you for your videos, I find them very calming and peaceful to watch.
Instead of flour you can use corn starch and you won’t have any lumps in the gravy part of your dishes. Easier to use too. Use equal parts of water and corn starch for a smooth mixture. Also, when you remake your bed after washing, put the furthest corner on first. That would be the top right corner of the bed if standing at the bottom. Then do other top corner and finally the bottom. So much easier!!

Several days? You serious? Depends on the poisoning.. a lot longer than several days.. true food poisoning needs medical care,.. trust me on that one… salmonella took several months & lucky we didn’t die! 😢😢😢
@53mandevilla Sorry if I was unclear...I meant after the initial illness is over, your body feels weak for days. Possibly due to dehydration, lying in bed, etc. I'm glad you recovered from salmonella - frightening!!

Sad to hear you've been unwell..hope you are feeling much better already. If you have leftovers and not sure if you will eat quickly freeze them it is much safer. Japan can be a very lonely place so I would offer a suggestion that if you can find an elderly lady nearby that you can converse with just for short times occasionally you would brighten up both your lives. I did this with an older gentleman and we became good friends. ATVB Lou. Fillies looks great with all the Christmas lights at this time of year especially Araneta. Bushyboy Oz.

Watching your video, I was amazed at the prices you pay there in Japan I have noticed if you purchase something on the cheaper side to buy the same here is nearly 3 times as much like the meat you purchased from Australia for that amount of meat here where I live in Australia it would cost nearly $25 and the beautiful flowers would cost about $15. It was wonderful to see you could catch up with your friend Lou and the places you showed were beautiful :).
