at december 10th, I'll do a challenge with the artist Adrian Smith! During a week, every morning Adrian will propose a new different creature from his new artbook and in the same day I will attempt to sculpt the bust from his design
. Then each day I'll post the process on the bust sculpture from the morning to the evening.
7 days, 7 creatures, 7 busts!!
I hope to see you there and don't hesit to share this challenge.

yours style and work is awesome!!!!!!!
Amazing skill you have there. Love the videos.
Thanks for posting these vids they are so good. In this one the reflections in his eyes in some parts make it look like he is actually watching you ..........amazing!!!
You took the concept 1 step further! A great example and inspiration to learn from!
Thanks
you sir are amazing!!
Incroyable. Je suis fan.

Cool!
Great great work my friend!
thanks
Astounding.
wow Awesome
perfecto..!!
GREAT!!!
Man you should do another challenge or just do more videos, they are really cool!!!
suuuper
You better drop that attitude mister, or you don't get ice cream
What an awesome work, dude. So many layers and small pieces that you put together to form this sculpture. Just with your hands, fingers and some simple tools. I know that almost anybody can learn anything. But this here is high art.
I'm not into modeling but you've got my recognition. Thank god that there's more on youtube than people talking about their goldfish and making billions of subscribers with such crap.
This video should be posted on the YT-Mainpage instead of gamers and "talkers" day by day.
Thanks a lot!
Nice
EXELENTE
thanks
UNO DE LOS SUPER TRABAJOS
Ever thought about selling resin casts of these?
Your pieces are amazing!!
+flippy211 no unfortunaly, it was just a chalenge, I haven't the right of adrian smith to sell them, just work with him for the challenge videos
Глядя на эти видео , появляется серьезное желание этим заняться . Не планируете записать видео про материалы и инструменты , которые используете?

I think i watched many sculpture artists u r my favorite one
How can i do like these figures :(
Just practice, with time and lots of passion you arrive where you want! ;)
great end result but i really like the loose gestural quality you had at the 2 minute mark
Thanks, yes I like the rough work too, but lots of people prefer a more finished work, here it s just demo so I can stop before the real work starts, just with playing with the clay...👍😏
Hello!I have model that i sculpted by oil base clay but needs some tuning on the surface, what tips you have for it?
great work, i need to ask about the what's the martial you used and how to keep it after you finished
I sculpt with plastilina oil based clay, monster clay, just to keep it, it s hard at room temperature, or you mold it, or you destroy your work to rescue the clay and start an other sculpture, as me.
Great work! I'm very new to clay sculpting (apart from what I did in school). What clay is this? Sculpey, terracotta or something else entirely?
Plastiline clay
what is the material name ? amazing sculpture.
What are you using to heat it? Great skills! ^^
Alcohol torch, and a hot lamp to keep the clay soft
Hi. Can I ask what camera you use to film your time laps vidios?? Amazing work by the way. Hope to be as good as this one day!!
It s a basic panasonic camera
Thanks! Me again. Can I ask what you do with the finished sculptures? Do you cast them or just melt them down and start again, which would be a shame!
Unfortunaly just few are molded and casted, not so much customer to mold everything, then 80% that you see on video are destroyed to use again the clay for an other sculpture who lives by pictures or videos....;)
what kind of clay do you use? does it need some baking or cooking to make it hard?
Awesome. What type of clay are you using?
+Stanuch Fantasy Sculptures monster clay plastiline
Gota learn ur way, look and sculpt. I do a lot of measuring and that takes up way too much energy.
how long did it take you finish this? real time
awesome work btw!
Thanks, in real time I think arround 5 hours
cool sculpture brO. I really like it , you inspire me to wana try sculpting . you have an amazing talent . I got a question , I got a drawing I did on my page (the skeleton) and I want to sculpt it , how could I make the butterflies look like their hovering over the skeleton ?
Thanks, the better write me on my email with your draw...
At first glance, I thought it was Terry Bradshaw
Pastmasterdan I didn t Know Terry but I saw a picture and you re right, he looks like!
Sorry, but what is the material that you are using for the sculpture?
BADA$$
does anyone know what spray/solution he was spraying on 6:39 ? if so, what does it do and whats the pros and cons about that product? thanks!
it's an alcohol torch, a dentist prothesist tools
what is the liquid that you spray or paint over the clay? I see it in alot of videos; yours and others.
Light fluid zippo or essence F
Just a bunch of questions: what kind of spheres did you use as eyeballs? Do you bake the model in oven at the end? Did you use Super Sculpey?
Thank you, I'm going to start sculpting, and literally eat and breathe your videos! :-)
Thanks, the eyes are just some pearl or sometimes some little bullet for airsoft, it s nit super sculpey, it s monster clay platiline. But you could do the same thing with sculpey, just before see if the plastic pearl resist to the warm of the oven.
cyril roquelaine I've just tested a couple of airsoft bullets: complete disaster. After ten minutes at a temperature of 120°C, the two bullets came out the oven completely melted and distorted. I need to find something else for the eyeballs. Cyril, if you can tell me exactly what kind of "pearls" you use for your projects, I'd be very grateful. No rush of course, just let me know if and when you can. In the meantime, I've ordered my first batch of Scuper Sculpey (Monster Clay seems impossible to find here in Italy; I've found just one reseller who ask € 70.00 for usual 5 lbs. pack, I can't believe it). Can't wait to receive the clay! :-)
Alex Vannini couldn't you affix the eyes after the oven or perhaps use glass beads ?
Alba Whiteman To place the eyes after the oven is impossible, since I need to have the clay soft during the modelling. I'll look for glass eyes, but here in Italy is like to search for a honest politician...
Alex Vannini use metal ball bearings they work great, search for metal ball catapult ammo on ebay lots of sizes
It looked like the thing
Hey Cyril, every Monster Clay Sculpt from you is on the surface so much specular. How could that be? Is monster clay, a clay which i originally specular? If for example i use my normal grey clay, its not specular surface.
hello, I use a alcohol torch or gaz torch to smooth a little more the clay, with the intensive warm the clay becomes tended, and the surface more specular. hope that s help you
@@roquelainesculpt Thank you so much Cyril!
plz tell me what you used for the eyes!
Just pearl
what are you using for the eyes?
+James Lee just pearls
would like to know the material used as well.
Monster clay plastiline
light fluid for zippo
What material is it..?
Как называется этот виды глины? Не могу определиться какую глину купить для лепки статуэток и бюстов . ?
monsterclay plastiline medium
It s in monster clay plastiline
What is in monster clay ...is it synthetic ?
Alba Whiteman yes, plastiline clay
WOW! Amazing!
Chavant NSP? Medium or Hard?
Thanks, it s not chavant, it s monster clay, similar clay
cyril roquelaine
I can't find this clay in Korea.
so how about chavantNSP? medium? hard? which one better to begin to learn?
For me I think you could start with nsp medium
do you draw these concept arts or do you find them in a website?
It s adrian smith who drawed the design, it s a challenge with him, as writen in title
ohhhh.... i just dont pay attention to the titles sorry😂😂
Hi Cyril, at around 6:40 you spray a liquid on the surface of the sculpt. What kind of liquid is? Just water? Or something else? What for?
Alex Vannini no water, it's an alcohol torch with a fire, I warm the clay to soft on the surface to smooth it
cyril roquelaine I'll never end learning! :-)
um..I want to know,What did you spray on sludge in nine minutes and 20 seconds,Please hurry to tell me. thank you vary much !!!
rubbing alcohol, smooths everything out and takes away excess clay
Just rubbing alcohol?really?I thought it was something magical, such experiments I see, thank you vary much!!!
what did you use for eye balls ?
Airsoft balls
what is that flame thingy?
The flame is to smooth a little on the skin of the clay with warm
