The kiss of cold steel was talking about self harm. He carved a hole in his chest, just to feel
He was saved by a stem cell doctor who GAVE him a $25,000 stem cell transplant. This brought him back to life where he hungered for the door that was closed,which was music. He sees music as his purpose. Especially to speak for the chronically ill.
Looks like he has accepted that all the suffering gave him the gift of soul in his music
This was filmed in March in Calgary,Canada. There is an awesome acoustic version of this song, filned in Feb. Well worth watching and reacting too. Very different vibe.
He also posted his story in 8 video Chapters on his 2nd channel called renmakesstuff. He reads what he wrote about rhe 8 year nightmare to find diagnosus and begin healing. Hw will be dealing with the damage of autoimmunity and brain damage for lufe. He also suffers from MCAS which is an allergic condition with no cure. He is allergic to all but 8 foods.

It wasn’t music that saved him.
Music was always his dream. He had 2 stem cell transplants that saved his life, but he stills suffers from the effects of his autoimmune conditions. He’s been in Canada for treatment for 18 months and he’s still there. Nice to see you guys again!

Ren has been making music since he was a young teenager
Was signed at 19 had to give it all up due to Lyme disease
Regained it because of treatment finally after 7 years in bed or his room
