  • Today, I'm uploading a different kind of video. Many people in the football world believe that youth players are being BRAIN WASHED by social media and sports science, which is changing the focus of the game. Watch the video and let me know what you think in the comments.

      Hand exchange and smooth movement is dead. Since makelele , kaka, and bale and van persie retired, the sport is garbage. Basic movement patterns are everything. Recoba, fenomeno, martins, seedorf, van basten..... Everything the media talks about is nonsense and every pundit is incompetent.

    I coach young children, so sick of the penalty-kick culture that kids all default to. None of them can dribble, none of them can turn or ever check their shoulder. But they all practice taking free kicks

  • @Ham_Chimponaut
    @Ham_Chimponaut Před 9 dny +4

    So true. Many youngsters can do lots of half well-executed tricks but can't do a simple , accurate 10 yard pass.

    You’re so spot on. In our training session I call them TicTok shots when the lads are shooting high going for TC.
    I remind them that no one has ever missed under the goal, aim low.
    Social media has a lot to answer for in terms of behaviour, skill and mentality of young players.

    He has a part of the goal that he goes to the most, like it looks like he practiced to finishing there the most, so he's way more confident to shoot there

  • @nickprice83
    @nickprice83 Před 24 dny +7

    Spot on. I always tell my attacking players low and hard and aim for the inside netting. Top corner looks sexy, but every goal is worth the same, so the most important thing is to make sure you score

    At last someone mentioned this. I'm tired of my strikers practicing dead ball free kicks from 25 yards. A situation that rarely happens in a match.

    This definitely shows the need to slow down and not rush the strike. Simple is better. Technique over power. Placement over a forced shot..

    Joner thank you very much mate. I’m a 19 year old who’s been out of a team for a bit and I’ve fell into the trap of just taking free kicks and my dribbling ability & finishing in the box has took a hit. With this vid though I’m gonna start doing some proper drills in my next session 👍
    Maybe a vid on individual drills in the box?

    I coach youth. The biggest pet peeve I have is when players turn up before a session or game, stick a ball down outside the box, and just smash it at the goal.
    They want to shoot and you can't stop it, so I stick cones down. They have to at least dribble past a stationary object first to get some sense of game realism.

    I've been coaching since 2000. The sweeper system was still being used(crazy). I'm seeing so many new coaches teaching young players the hot new trends. But those trends DO NOT translate to the field. I only train fundamentals. Because I feel a player can pick up fancy play with time and experience.

    Well said mate. I’ll do you one further and say there are such things as bad practice habbits bc it’s taking time away from what you should be focusing on. I Give my athletes percentages of time they should spend and shots from outside of 18 are 5 percent of their time. And even that’s a stretch.

    Also for a video suggestion maybe you can do a video on what kind of training to do while having a groin injury to maintain your fitness levels

    Thank you for this content from Germany ⚽ absolutely right. But a few things about Henry striking in the video.
    1. The keeper game changed the last 10 years a lot. They play better with their angel.
    2. Low corner perfect if the distance to the keeper isn't to short. Because the angel.
    3. I teach my kid's (especially the strikers) the Keeper zones and how Keepers are trained. Because every zone has their weak points.
    Maybe you understand what I mean. Please tell me when you think this is shit 😂 but I think understanding what Keeper zones are can help a striker to find the right angle and high of shot

      At your age. Find a wall to work on your touch. kick the ball against the wall and practice your control in different parts of your feet inside, outside. Along the ground, in the air. 1 touch, 2 touch. Otherwise find every chance to play with friends.
