This puts me to shame. In 2017 i was waiting for a 🍕pizza in Hudson, Wisconsin. I'm a city/route trucker from the Twin Cities. On a nostalgic whim, i dropped a quarter in the only Super Pac Man machine I've seen since being a child in the 1980s. By the end of that $.25 cents well spent, i finished with 216,850 level 18. The pizza was cold, and my dispatcher had called a few times. Totally worth it. It's been a real treat to watch you kick this game's ass. Thanks!
My aunt was a waitress at a restaurant, and myself as a young child, she told me about this game they had at her restaurant called Super Pac-Man. Naturally, I didn't believe her, that is until I went one morning with my uncle, and I'll be damned if not staring me in the face all those many years ago, was an arcade cocktail cabinet of Super Pac-Man. My jaw dropped, I had seen Pac and Ms Pac have their games, the missus having her speed hack of course. She gave me a couple quarters to try, I became a fan of Super Pac-Man, but didn't have the game in my collection for years while being in the hobby, that is until I got Namco Museum Mega Mix for my Wii (Namco Museum 2 on PS1 is just too damned expensive, it is only on the US version), and eventually on the GBC with one of the Pac color editions (the other has Pac-Attack, the puzzle game based off Cosmo Gang the Puzzle arcade, but in Japan the Cosmo Gang one saw release on the Super Famicom).
THIS! WAS! MY! SHIIITTTT! OMG the nostalgia, I used to have this pac man plug and play game and this was one of my favorites!!! This was exactly how I played it too!!
That's ballsy, diving into the den of the beast like that for more points. I usually use my super time to just finish the stage as quickly as possible.
I found my plug and play buried under a bunch of stuff in my room and I got it working again. It’s old and glitchy but I’m enjoying the nostalgia while I got it
This is pretty epic considering this is the Namco version and not the Midway version; (Super Pac-Man moves slower in the Midway version) I own a Midway board so that's what I got used to; I can't play the Namco version without getting all sloppy while being Super Pac-Man
Me:*Watches full vid and finds that this dude got to stage 29* Also me:I'm getting my super Pacman console and start playing (Note:I only get to stage 8 or 9)
1:34 Act 1 Look Up In The Sky 3:15 Act 2 Super Blinky Vs. Super Super Pac-Man 6:34 Act 3 Super Pac-Man Squash Ghost Monsters 9:39 Act 4 Multiple Ghost Monsters vs Super Pac-Man - Multiple Pac-Man Vs Super Ghost Monsters
You will notice as the stages go on, the keys open gates which are further away. That adds to the challenge. My best score is 141k and, I made it to level 13 or 14.
Wow, this game can be so hard most of the time, because when you eat almost all of the things required, the ghosts are extremely faster than the original. Here’s an example in 13:59
If you like Pac-Man, try RandomPac. It has been made as faithful as possible to the original arcade version except that the mazes are created randomly (they are different every time) and it contains bonus levels. Download it from lowcarb.itch.io/
@@waltersobchak7275 Yes, I did used a joystick (a V3 fightstick from Hori when I recorded this at the time, now I use a RAP Premium Vewlix (VLX) PS4 arcade stick also from Hori)
Play it on MAME also. Then you can have access to all your favorite classic arcade games anytime the mood strikes. Pick up a decent USB controller, plug it into your PC and you've got a classic arcade right there in your living room that's always open and NO QUARTER'S needed!

The nostalgia. I'm so glad this game came to the Nintendo Switch as part of the Arcade Archives series.

Interesting, I was wondering how some versions were faster than others. Still an awesome game though, probably my favorite Pac Man game!
Well played 👏. Looks like the original, faster, Namco version, not the slower Midway release?

How did you make super pac man move rapidly?
usually holding the fire button will give super pac some extra speed
YES OYES
LOL
Where can you get this arcade game now? I was hitting over 400K in the 80s but haven't seen it in decades. I would love to get one of these for home.
You can use MAME or buy the cabinet/or PCB second hand or get any of the Namco Museum games might have this game. (I've used MAME to record this)
