So just to clarify a few suspected omissions.
Snapdragon is NOT a dragon despite the name, Hasbro consistently calls him a dinosaur or reptile.
Dragotron and Twinferno are vehicles with dragon designs to them, not actual dragons. Likewise it was hard to include Crashbash because the character is the Titanmaster, and the thing they're usually packed with are just vehicles.
Rootwing falls under a BotBots rule where I generally omit the line from these lists because some of these videos would be overrun by that line if I were to include them.
See that's the thing which confused me, I thought Snapdragon was a Dragon himself, very weird.
Also I would put Sinnertwin up higher to retail release personally.
Some of the other Terrorcons are weird considerations tho.

That Rescue Bots Bumblebee came with two more dragons, Freezer Burn and Wingblaze. They're retools of each other. Titans Return Crashbash. Rescue Bots Drake. Beast Machines Mechatron. Just to add to the few others people have mentioned. Really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for these.
RiD 2015 Crazybolt or Beast machines Geckobot? Crazybolt's animation model was used for a dragon character called Flamesnort and Geckobot turns into a "flying dragon" aka a draco from SE Asia. At that point then we're opening up to even more questionable alt modes. If we consider a draco a dragon then a flying squirrel would be a bat or something like that.
Someone on TFW2005 pitched the idea of making one of the next “-izers” subgroups a bunch of dragons and I kinda want to see Hasbro try that. Here’s a pitch using only preexisting characters:
*Comic Universe Strafe* (Deluxe Class)
*Prime Universe Ripclaw* (Deluxe Class) with a *Go! Universe Bakudora* retool
*Prime Universe Skystalker* (Deluxe Class) with a *Go! Universe Judora* retool
*Prime Universe Grimwing* (Voyager Class) with a *Go! Universe Budora* retool

Truth is, the gold on BWII Galvatron is actually rather robust (even with active play plus years of open display). The only thing to keep a watch for is the 4 tiny tabs on the inside of the pair of gold drill halves. Due to their thinness, these bits (on any type of plastic really) are most susceptible to snapping off (though this neither affects the functionality nor look of the toy when it happens in any significant manner).
PS. The new Chinese New Year Dragon holds up pretty well in the hand, though it does feel a little lithe. The host of included accessories allows for a number of different combos, and this makes it really fun to play with in both modes, especially with the unique stand it comes with that also works for both modes. 🔥🐉🔥
Nice video :) but you're forgetting a few ones. Combiner Force Twinferno, Snapdragon, BotBot Rootwing (like someone mentioned). And it would have also been nice to see the different variations getting ranked, for example Predaking as scout, deluxe, voyager, leader variation.
Twinferno I considered but he's not a dragon, he's a jet with dragon details, and Snapdragon is actually described on his box as a dinosaur, not a dragon despite the name. Botbots in general I tend to omit because there's so many of them to keep track of and in some lists they would overpower the rest.
Twinferno might be a stretch. He feels more like a jet with stylized dragon heads in place of nose cones rather than an actual dragon.

skylynx is a literal lynx cat and a(checks notes) a giant predatory bird of some kind, at modt he becomas a cimera.
Steelbane's dragon mode is kind of a mess but I gotta stan a robot dragon that can transform into a winged robot knight, it's just too good. But I agree with the top-tier picks of RID Megatron and TM2 Megatron, the absolute kings of dragon transformers.
Steelbane actually is the first wyvern I believe given his wing structure.
Someone at Hasbro said Dragonstorm needs more color and one guy was like screw it. Ghost Rider Dragon.
I love dragons. I love Transformers. And I enjoy watching TJOmega videos. The awesome trifecta!
It's far from my favorite dragon transformer, but I have a bit of a soft spot for the BM dragon Megatron. It feels like the husk of former glory that's hunched over and hiding under shredded wings, afraid of even being seen in that state at all.
I wish you included repaints and retools on this list, and I think you missed Earthrise Snapdragon, but I agree with the placements for most of the list. I do have a bias for the Beast Machines dragons and think they should be higher on detail alone, but I get their shortcomings.
Despite the name, Snapdragon isn't a dragon! He was originally marked on his G1 box as a dinosaur.
@@TJOmega wow, I never knew that was on the G1 box. I just checked the official product description for the Earthrise one, and the mode is called "reptile," so still in the clear - not a dragon officially.
I would've brought Ripclaw down a little simply due to the lack of bicep swivels. Also I love Cybertron Scourge's design, but the articulation really lets him down to the point where I'd personal place him in retail release.

I'm not going to tiar list every Dragon but I felt like just doing my top ten favorite dragons.
RID2001 Megatron/Galvatron. I love the mold and it looks even better in the Botcon2016 Beast Wars Megatron colors.
Prime Predaking, I love his design.
TM2 Megatron
Budora, this is the Grimwing or Darksteel mold slightly retooled and I just prefer the color scheme of Budora over the other two versions.
Cybertron Scourge, Prime Predaking actually reminds a lot of this guy but I just prefer Predaking's colors and the fact that he actually has wings so Scourge is lower on my list.
Ripclaw, I wish this mold ended up in the show instead of Skylynx.
Crimsonflame, I already liked the mold but the retool/recolor makes him look so much better than the original version.
Doublecross which I agree is a really weird name for an Autobot.
BWII Galvatron, I'm not a fan of the color scheme on this guy. I think the mold looks cool and if it ever got recolored I'd rank him higher. I think you can tell by the above picks what my color preferences are for dragons.
Deathsaurus who is almost a really good design except for the weird bird head.
You should try making one of these for every zodiac.

In second place is my CRYO Scorge from 2005-06.
About the only one of these I'd dispute would be Savage Noble. I'd put that at least retail level. It's very odd looking, but I find it oddly charming as far as dragons go.

Judging by how similar the alt modes of Flamefeather and Deathsaurus are, I wouldn't be surprised if that weird bird-dragon-thingamajig with Devilman wings were an actual animal species in G1-verse...
I remember, when war robots introduced the dragon robots of the ao guang, ao jun, and ao Qin. Then, they added the Ao Ming as the titan robot in that set of dragon themed robots.
Crimson Flame has been showing up for order on Amazon Canada. Whether they actually ship any is anyone's guess. There is English boxart of the figure included in the listing.

Welcome to my corner of the Transformer fandom. My ears always perk up when we have a dragon transformer. My fav are the Prime Predacons. The Jurassic Park cloning origin story was pretty tight. I would have loved for the Aligned dinobots from the games face off against the Prime Predacons. Grimlock vs Predaking is a battle that MUST happen.
A couple of absentees include Twinferno from Cyberverse and Snapdragon from Headmasters. Snap's beast mode is more Godzilla than Smaug, but his vehicle mode flies so I'll allow it. Another fashionably late would be Sky Lynx (the elder). Old Commander Modesty needs a mention. His ego should take top tier while his tory should occupy B tier. One last, super obscure entry belongs to the Go-bots' Zod. Initially more kaiju, the figure includes a lance used to poke the on/off button on its underbelly.
The Prime Wars iterations or the Terrorcons were my favs. I enjoyed the Legend class ones from Prime. But Power of the Primes Terrorcons made me rethink their origins. I imaged the Terrorcons once protected the land with their steadfast champion, Sky Reign. The Terrorcons take over when Hunger replaces Sky Lynx. The void warps the limbs into the Terrorcons we know now. And this is where the story begins.

Man, those at the top are really special, I would've even added Skystalker to Holy Grail, I have a soft spot for him as A, the dragon is AMAZING and B I found a brand new one on a drugstore for like 3 bucks.
Well, in real life, there is a fossilized remains of a large (gigantic size) pterosaur that is named the dragon of death, so for cutthroat being marketed as a dragon despite not looking a lung or a European dragon kinda make sense here I guess. 😅
Oh, also, you kinda forgot to put magmatron's combined dragon/ chimera mode thing in this video oh tho the original figure may not have been marketed that way but i think his legacy rendition of that altmode has been marketed as a dragon/ chimera, also you probably RID 2015 twinferno's dragon jet altmode because I think it's been marketed as a dragon jet or a jet with dragon like features.
kinda similar some zords from 2 to 3/4 separate power ranger seasons (rpm, samurai/ super samurai, megaforce/ super megaforce and beast morphers) where each of the zords despite being mostly vehicle they still got some animal motifs to them.
Still waiting for Legacy Cybertron Scourge! If Override and Metroplex can get updates, why not the grumpy prideful boss dragon of the Jungle Planet?

Its surprising we never had a Chinese Dragon as a Transformer. If Hasbro ever did an SS86 Concept Art Rails, then that could definitely be retooled into a Chinese Dragon

@mecha53107 I mean it is quite different. No wings, Chinese esque warrior head, it comes with a firecracker weapon that doubles as Flames, a stand to fly on, and that Kong weird body steelbane had makes for a great lung dragon.

Technically even with 2 heads or one head you could still call it a Hydra rather than a Dragon. The thing that makes a Dragon a Hydra is that when you cut off the head of a Hydra 2 more heads grow back in it's place. They don't just start out with multiple heads. And Hydras technically are Dragons, they're just a specific type of Dragon from Greek and Roman mythology that has that ability.
Fun fact, you also could have bulked out this list by including all the Dinosaur Transformers because Japanese culture treats Dinosaurs and Dragons as the same thing. That's why if you also watch Digimon you'll see things like Gamamon who is based on a Triceratops that still Digivolves into something more like what we would call a Dragon.
I mostly agree with your top picks I might move a few characters 1 space to the left or right of where they are but that's about it.
What I really disagree with are the guys at the bottom of the list. I love Optimus ExPrime, he would have gone in Holy Grail low end Holy Grail but still Holy Grail.
Beast Machines Megatron I'd put up in Bargain Bin rather than Flea Market. Cause he is basically a bargain bin version of the TM2 Dragon.
Savage, I understand why you don't like him but I like him enough to put him in retail.
Blight I would have put in Flea Market and he's the only character I'd put that low because Hasbro may call him a Dragon or an Ogre but his alt mode has never looked like anything. He is slightly better than the original in that I can actually tell it has a face but it still doesn't actually look like anything. I hate Blight/Blot more than anything.
Also I personally would include repaints on this list. I understand why you don't and usually I agree with that but I personally have a preference for Fire Dragon over Ice Dragon so this is one list where paint job completly changes my opinion of the design. Like the Cryotek version of TM2 Megatron would only be retail not Holy Grail. The BM Megatron version of the RID mold would be top of Holy Grail. I love that paint job. If we were judging the mold itself RID Galvatron and Megatron would be right below BW Megatron still in Holy Grail because I love that mold regardless of how it's colored but if we're only judging how good of a dragon it is, Galvatron Premium, RID Megatron Retail. Plus that toy actually has 2 Dragon modes and the other "Dragon" mode is kind of just the Gargoyal/Bat mode turned around backwards with the tail now making it's head... I don't like it. That mode can go bottom of Bargain Bin.

Robots in Disguise Twinferno a jet but also had two dragon heads and looked more dragon in robot mode somehow. that toy was weird. And also if T.J. did include it he would have been Flea Market for sure. But seriously just why did that toy exist.
G1 Hug-rrr is not a wyrm like dragon. He has leg's so he is a drake like dragon. Wyrm dragons do not have leg's.

Being both a collector of dragons and being born in the year of the dragon myself i find it ridiculous you included things that clearly are not dragons but your production sucks using those tiny screens instead of using the large screen to showcase what you are talking about .
