I saw Sammy on the Three Lock Box tour and it was the best concert I ever went to. The Red Rocker played for three hours non-stop. Girls all over were taking off their red bras and panties and throwing them up on the stage. Someone had a jar of red something and Sammy asked them to pass it up to the stage and he took a long swig and said, "Man that is some good shit"! He was using that wireless mic before anyone else at the time which allowed him to roam the stage. One song he intro'd with a guitar solo and the lights were out. You could hear him but not see him. Suddenly spot lights opened on him and he was way up on the rafters with the lights jamming on the guitar. The 80s were an awesome time to be young and carefree in the U.S.

My first concert 🎵 1989-1990 on New Years Eve!!!! I was just a kid and my much older big brother took me.. we bought the tickets at the old Lamont’s store where they had a ticket 🎟 master.
Now Very Many Years Later… I am going to a BIG PRIVATE SHOWING … A concert with Sammy Hagar & the Circle ⭕️
Also, a house band called the “Cronkites” will be opening up!
We have Sammy Hagar’s 🎸 guitars hanging up when he played center man for Van Halen, at my employer… in our arena, here where we have huge car auctions~ Sammy loves his cars and is good friends with Dave our GM! It’s really kool that all the employees get to go to this BIG dealer auction over at the Spokane part of our company.
We will leave next Wednesday on a luxury tour bus, long drive of 6 hours (5 in a car) from Seattle to Spokane, Washington. We get t-shirts and goody bags!
I feel like a big kid again.
Then they pass out drink coupons for 2 mixed drinks per person, (I don’t drink so will be giving mine away) or having a virgin Piña-Colada! :)
Free soda & water all night.
Big free Buffett and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream bar will be set up.
Also appetizers.. some special bbq wings I hear!
There will be a HUGE double auction and lots of prize giveaways for all!
Dealer’s get free hotel 🏨 stay some of them I guess?
Then the concert begins! After the show, we head back home on tour bus. Thank God 🙏🏼 there is air conditioning!!!
I guess it will get cold on way back so I’m bringing a blanket. 😂
I’m so excited to have this opportunity to go do something different… a private concert with Sammy Hagar will be amazing! There will still be a big crowd there but I’m looking forward to it!

I was too young when this came out to be a part of this scene. It brings me to tears because when things are gone they're gone. Oh yeah, you can still listen to the music and maybe buy an old IROC-Z Camaro but the culture is gone and the people who made it are either dead or decrepit.

Yeah, dude...I LOVE me some Sammy, but even I can admit he could take "poetic license" a little too far sometimes. This still remains my favorite Hagar album by a country mile.

I saw a comment on Sammy’s same show, but he’s playing Heavy Metal, and the person couldn’t of spoken the better truth saying, “Hagar didn’t need Van Halen!” his solo stuff or when he was in Montrose hits so much harder!!
