    I just bought a toad X3 from magnus instead of buying rapt lite. For the same price but better materials on magnus. It came with stainless steel plates that are nice but have noticed scratching already after couple days. I definitely see a benefit of just edges touching

      Yeah you definitely have to baby Magnus plates more. If you ever feel like there's debris in between them, stop sliding and use some silly putty or sticky tack to clean them off.

      The new Magnus toad x stainless plates I just noticed are curved.not a curved as the rapt it looks like. They seem to fully touch on the last set of magnets.I'm very happy will definitely buy a rapt or the lite eventually.

      Couldn't agree more. If you like sliders, you're collection isn't complete without a Rapt. Let me know if you want any info on prices/materials.

    Hey man. Super interesting video. What’s the difference between SSS and SSI? Also I think a video of different finishes would be cool. Blasted, machine, stonewashed, etc.

    • @fidgetnerd
      @fidgetnerd  Před rokem

      Thanks for watching!
      The difference is in the last letter. In SSS, the last S stands for Solid, meaning the Stepped pattern and the body is all one solid piece. In SSI, the "I" stands for Inlay, meaning that Stepped pattern is now a separate Inlay from the rest of the body. The option to pick two materials in the SSI is what really makes the Rapt stand out as the most customizable fidget slider. The same goes for SGS and SGI, except the "G" stands for the other pattern option, Groovy.
      That is indeed a good idea about the finishes. I'll add that to my list. Cheers!

    My broken in plates are so lovely! Have you tried adding ptfe tape to one of your more broken in plates? I want to try that when my plates are more like yours. I’m wondering how smooth it would feel as opposed to adding tape to new pair of plates. I haven’t tried it as I don’t have ptfe tape, but in due time lol

    • @fidgetnerd
      @fidgetnerd  Před rokem +1

      No I've never felt the need to tape any of Rapt plates since they're always so easy to slide on their own. I'm pretty sure the tape would diminish the sound of clicks.

      @@fidgetnerd That’s kind of what I’m going for 😅

    • @fidgetnerd
      @fidgetnerd  Před rokem +1

      Gotcha! I've got PTFE tape so I can give it a try for you. Increasing magnet strength and switching to brass inserts will also make the clicks quieter.

      Hey! Sorry custom and website orders are currently closed right now. You'll have to join the Modusworks Family FB group [ facebook.com/groups/1359173244147005/ ] and check regularily for updates on when Jonas is dropping more Rapts.
