Oregon Ducks Dominate Transfer Portal; Eye B1G Title

- The Oregon Ducks football team and coach Dan Lanning are dominating the college football transfer portal. So far they have landed 14 players from other major college football programs from around the country. From Oklahoma transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel to two more defensive players who announced they are coming this weekend, Oregon football has the second best transfer portal roster in the country behind Ole Miss.
OREGON BEATING BIG 10!
That also means Oregon football is dominating other Big Ten teams like Ohio State and Washington in the portal as the Ducks prepare for their first season in the Big Ten. The season kicks off August 31st vs Idaho.
OTHER SCHOOLS
Other schools are busy in the portal as well. For example, Iowa is feverishly looking for another quarterback or two behind injured Cade McNamara. Find out who is visiting Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz.
The Indiana Hoosiers land a pleasant surprise in the portal as well. They pick up a defensive back for head coach Curt Cignetti's old squad at James Madison University.

New conference new era wow this conference is loaded. Ducks will have to adjust no doubt and the Big 10 will see that the Ducks are capable. Coach Lanning is elevating this program and we are all here for it...Looking forward to this fall playing in an other excellent conference
I have a feeling every team in the BIG 10 will want to squash the incoming Pac-12 teams. Oregon will get everyone's best and it's not going to be easy.
They will certainly try lol Ohio state is the only realistic loss and maybe Michigan that ones a toss up. The big 10 is just top heavy, most of the league isn’t great

Oregon losing to Washington twice last year, as they did, is an indication that there is something amiss in the coaching room. Is Lanning (just) another Franklin??? Clearly he is a good roster builder-from the athletic side. Is Lanning (just) another Day??? This is a complicated game.
Never forget that Lanning is only in his 3rd year as a head coach. DeBoer was head coach when Lanning was a teenager. Given that, it’s extremely unbelievable what he has done at Oregon.
Lanning is committed to constant improvement. There is not something "off". We used to expect the 20 year vet to school.the kid with 2 years experience. He makes mistakes but he owns em.
He s probably more of (just) another Kirby. And if it takes him a decade to win a title.we.fine with it

Oregon is an AAU school with top ranked faculty including Nobel and Pullitzer Prize winners. Their graduate level programs, in particular, are very good. Their research is top-notch: They are #1 among AAU schools in licensing/research dollar spent which is one good metric used to measure the importance of research generated. They just opened the first half of a billion dollar research institute in Eugene and opened a new half billion branch campus in Portland. The research from these campuses have helped to generate 32 start-up companies with direct ties to the U of O, helping the state to a #3 ranking in innovative economy and business competitiveness. Oregon generates a 2.6 billion return to the state of Oregon. Additionally, Oregon brings to the Big-10 a school tied for 13th in the number of NCAA titles won all-time (with 33 national titles won). They host the NCAA Championships and the Olympic Trials regularly and other national and international meets. On the other hand, your school, oregon state, has been left behind because it has had only 11 winning seasons (40 losing seasons) IN CONFERENCE in the Pac 8-10-12 since the PAC 8 was formed in 1968. osu is not an AAU school and brings virtually nothing to any power 4 conference. We get it. You're upset about this. Get over it and stop trying to tarnish Oregon's reputation on every website dealing with Oregon and the Big-10.
Oregon was not a top 10 defense, stop spreading that false narrative. They finished the season ranked #22 in total defense.
They finished the year at #11. Google is your friend.
Don't forget scoring defense and the context that needs.
Nebraska finished so high because they are in the B1G.
