Today I talk about the Life Noble Notebook A5 size and its accompanying cover!

Great review. I don’t think it’s too flashy for work, it’s got an old fashioned look about it, I like it. The trouble is, they aren’t cheap in Australia, one this size is around $30. For basically a cardboard notebook, that’s ridiculous really. I’ll keep my eye on the sales

Thanks for your review. I've used Life paper before and like it. I was considering buying this notebook, but I wouldn't like the line spacing. And, I suspect I'd rather spend a tiny bit more for a notebook that would lie flat. This was really helpful! - roc

Thanks for the informative video. I enjoyed it.
Trying to find the perfect fountain pen paper is like finding the Holy Grail.
I think you've pointed me in the right direction.
I have viewed a few of your videos. You do a great job.
Don't give up. Keep on rocking .

Thanks for the review. I'm curious about purchasing a Life notebook, but I may go with the brown one with blank pages. I'll just have to use my own lined underlay, that's all. What I'm most curious about is if you felt any fountain-pen inks behaved poorly on this paper, particularly any Noodler's you may have tried. Thanks.
Interestingly, you may have recorded this video in the summer, but I'm watching it for the first time in the winter. So the winter-themed T-shirt doesn't seem out of place at all. Couldn't stop looking at it, actually.

Those groups are called signatures and if you really want a notebook to lie flat and I mean completely flat (every page!!!), look into coptic stitch notebooks. And if you're a little crafty, you can have the ultimate notebook by making your own. Then you can have whatever paper you want, have the notebook be as thick (tall/wide) as you want, you can print whatever line spacing you want (that is if you want lines), you can put whatever cover material (like leather, wood, cardboard....), with whatever design you want, however many ribbon markers, and all for about a quarter of what a comparable notebook would cost. If your interested, below is a link to a really good tutorial. I’ve never sewn, crocheted.... nothing and it took me an hour to do one notebook, I just put on a movie and worked as I listen to the movie, it was easy. You may be too invested, but I would look into it because writing without the hassle of stopping the notebook wanting close on you, game changer.

Interesting! I'm not super crafty but I've got some time on my hands this summer so I may look into making my own.

Thank you for this video. I have been on the fence about this, but because I want cream graph paper, I have been leaning over the fence slightly ;o) Hey, can you recommend a notebook with over 300 pages, cream graph paper?

This paper vs Apica CD15s? I can get the Apicas for $1.90 and the life noble notebooks for 11 dollars.

+Jafar Uddin I haven't really tested the Apica yet. It when I do I'll let you know!

Thanks so much, I hear the Life Noble is quite better and a bit more expensive, 0.025 cents/page vs 0.05 cents/page. I think I'll be going with Life Noble over Apica, hope to see you review soon! Keep up the great work =)

I have the CD15 grid, and the reason why I'm looking at this notebook is because the Apica CD15 can feather and spread. It is excellent paper overall and will handle most inks well, but it is not robust enough for flex writing when I lay down thick layers of ink. In my experience, the main issue of the CD15 is not the feathering (if you lay down ink moderately and not thick), but the spread. This means that lines don't come out as crisp and fine as they could be on other paper like Fabriano or Rhodia/Clairefontaine. The spreading is not always there, but it can spread unexpectedly depending on the ink.
I'm trying out the TWSBI notebook and maybe this Life notebook to see if I can find a "more perfect union".

great review, but not for me. and it's super pricey!
I prefer a simpler modern look for my notebooks because I think of them as blank slates. Also, I have teeny tiny handwriting.
Have you tried Kokuyo Campus Notes? Great paper, great price.
