I don't have centrally heated home and when I pour my wax from prestopot to pitcher the temperature drops instantly and not enough time to mix frangrance oil and dye to it(wax tries to solidify).Same problem with cooling process ,wax shrinkage is too much due to fast cooling process of cold climate. Hi Erika (I hope you write it like so, sorry if not)!
I'm watching this video from Europe because I'd like to do candles as my wedding gift and unfortunately I can't find any kind of presto pot in my country. Shipping cost from out EU to my country is too high and I'd like to buy it on Amazon so if there is any issue I cand send it back. It seems here you can only buy slow cooker or instant pots.
I've found some soup kettles that may do the trick, you think it can work?
Also: when you melt the wax you cover it with the lid? Can't create a condensation of water that could drop and ruin the wax?
Thanks for sharig, I really love your channel!

On beginning i put my temp at 8. Didn't make big difference for a while. So i put on 12. I saw its really melting, but temp was 94. I was ooohhhh noooo😅 i turned down to 7. After temp gets like 80. So i had to heat up a bit again. Its playing a lot. I never know what temp is and have to keep checking. Is it how it works?
Im doing pillar candles. So i pour 6 bubble candles and they were disaster🤯 had horrible frosting looks even damaged. Not sure why? Can be because of temp? Was 94 so its a lot for soy wax. How do you operate this soup pot?
