  • Holme Nature Reserve, stopping at North Norfolk Harbours along the way
Hi everyone welcome back to my channel.
Today I am on my way to Holme Nature reserve in North Norfolk. Along the way I stop at a couple of Harbours, Burnham Overy, Brancaster, Thornham, (where I spotted a Garganey duck) and then onto Holme nature reserve, which is owned by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
I started by walking along the coastal path beside the beach . Erosion is very evident here, so you have to keep to the path . Hidden in the dunes, along this path, are the remains of World War II pillboxes.
In this area I saw a meadow pipit.
Once I left the Beach area , I went over to where there’s like a lake and saw a muntjac deer, a white throat bird, a tuffted duck, a yellow wagtail, gorgeous ducklings and conik ponies. The one bird that I hoped to see was a Ring Ouzel but it was hiding in the tree and was not going to show itself to anybody.
Despite the rain at times and the very grey sky, I had a wonderful day out.
    Thank you for watching.

These water inlets on the North coast are so stunning especially before the busy season. The yellow Wagtail was really pretty. The little ducklings were so funny as they rushed towards the water, it was as if they were seeing who could be first in. I remember the AA boxes and the key for it too. I think there used to be one at the Elveden Crossroads. These trips out are always enjoyable. Thank you for all the hard work you put into making them.
