- I will take this video down if any of the performers or the master of this recording (Crystal Secrets) ask!

2013-02-20 Matinée
Louise Dearman (Elphaba), Lucy van Gasse (s/b Glinda)
Any comments hating on the performers WILL be deleted.
This is how you stick the original score while still being phenomenal
Love me some Sho, but I'm not always a fan of her riff choices.
Jesus... she is incredible
I remember going on a school trip to see this show when Lou was Elphaba, she'd been in the show for about a month at this point and was vocally absolutely on FIRE. I was like 13/14 at the time and remember hearing a few of my friends saying "i don't know who the witch is but she can't sing" and feeling almost personally insulted as I sat there with tears streaming down my face in absolute bewilderment as to what I'd just witnessed. I'd seen the show before but NEVER in the way Louise portrayed the role. I wish she'd have stayed on longer, a year seemed to be criminal considering how strong she was in the role. In my opinion, just as strong as Rachel but in different areas.
❤
People hate what they don’t understand 🤷🏼. I‘m so jealous of the fact that you got to see her live, she was sensational in video alone and I can‘t imagine what it must have sounded like live
There is literally no way in the world that that statement could possibly make ANY sense.
@@LittleMixLuvrto be fair a lot of the kids on the trip were only in it to miss a few days off school. There were only a small handful of us going specifically for the theatre trips and an acting workshop that was part of it. Her voice is something you need to hear live to understand the magnitude of. It bounces off of every wall in the house and hits you like a truck. She's so powerful.
I used to LOVE this video and missed it for so many years! Thankyou!
If SJB and Ana Gasteyer had a child, this would be her.
Does Ana sing?
@@LittleMixLuvrOf course she does. 😂
@@amazingstarzz I didn’t know that about her haha sorry
I’m only familiar with her SNL & Mean Girls work
She’s amazing! Was she SJB standby or something?
Nope! She was originally Glinda in 2010-11 with Rachel Tucker as Elphaba, whom she went on to replace in 2012, becoming the first (and so far only) person to play both Elphaba And Glinda in a principal capacity!
@@mathshascalculus725 thanks so much for the info. Love wicked facts! She just had a lot of SJB energy in some ways. She’s really powerful!
Do you have the full show ?
Yessir I do
