I'm still missing my woman! She's up in Arkansas, and it feels like I've been gone forever from her side. She completes me. That's the way it's supposed to be.... I will be back up there permanently within a month or two.... 🙏🏻
Amen. Everything was so simple growing up in this era, seems like people were more caring of each other. I know that girls were a whole lot more sweeter then. 😏
We took this kinda music for granted in the '70's thinking that in the future musicians would still be making this type of music but this kinda music was never really made again. Thankfully this music was recorded so we can still listen to it today in 2024.👍💯🌝🎸🎶
6 years ago this very night I lost the love of my life to a blood clot. We had been married for 28 years, 31 total with darting and engagement. Nights are the hardest because we probably never spent more than a handful of nights apart during our marriage. I’m still in love with her and can’t move on.
I watch these clips from the 70s and despite bringing joy and nostalgia, they also truly sadden me. What happened folks, how and why did music go so wrong?
I wish I knew the brilliant published mind that said- you can judge people by the music they listen too ! Anyone know what professor it was , Plato maybe, Einstein ! ?

Wow, I love their music! This music is from a long ago era. The advantage of going back to that time is being able to live those years over with more wisdom. The music always takes me back.❤
Never was a fan of England Dan & John Ford Coley. I always loved this song, though. It was massive in Australia, so I heard it often on Radio Australia late at night, and I guess it grew on me. Great lead guitar parts by Steve Gibson, who played on a gazillion soft rock & country hits. The hardest part about hearing this is not that the 70's are long gone, it's that the sentiment behind songs like this seems to have faded. Today's 'dating' world is a cutthroat, superficial mess -- swipe left, swipe right, AI bots with stolen profile pics saying they want to meet you when they just want to mine your data... But hearing tracks like this takes you back to a different world, where romance and love still had a part to play..... Great song. Thanks for posting this. Peace out to everyone.
These guys did a private concert at Archbishop Chapelle HS in 1980 or 1981, I recall..it was mentioned on the radio .. Dan Seals sang the duet with Marie Osmond, 'Meet me in Montana' - he passed away about 5 years ago.
This song came out when I started dating my wife. We married in 1979. I can tell you that whatever short time we have been apart over the years this song comes to mind. All these years later my nights are forever without her.
Married in 78 21 years old she passes in 2019 at 62 48 years together total now nights are forever without her getting old sucks big time peace from Brooklyn New York
@@Mark-hz5nc i hope you never feel it it is fk terrible never even thought this would ever happen or i thought i would go first thanks for your thoughts
Probably one of the best power ballads ever written...that chorus just hits like a ton of bricks. I remember this was a huge hit on Toronto radio in the Summer of '76 (I was 12) you would hear it everywhere....I wish I could go back.
Listening in July 2024. Who's with me?
It's 2024,Who still Listen's to this Classic Right Here!!! 😊 😃 👍
I do the music now sucks 😔

Sadly we didn't have any idea how good we had it in the 70's.
Right mtv music awards are full of crap😂
Amen. Everything was so simple growing up in this era, seems like people were more caring of each other. I know that girls were a whole lot more sweeter then. 😏
I think we did actually. It was surprising how music went to shit though.
We absolutely did.
Even the songs that I didn't like back then, I have a much deeper appreciation for them today.
This is what real music is... No computers... Just pure talent and harmony
"Computers"?

Beautiful song. wish they still made music like this
What a beautiful, timeless song that we can all relate to. The harmony is just out of this world.
Yes
So thankful to have lived the 70s as a kid. Best music decade ever ❤
I watch these clips from the 70s and despite bringing joy and nostalgia, they also truly sadden me. What happened folks, how and why did music go so wrong?
It’s not just the music that went wrong.
The whole wide world is in a huge tailspin.😢

@@flatheadfletch nearly certain it wasn't Plato, possibly Einstein? Could have been Will Rogers, H L Mencken......
Those two were one of the bigger hit making machines of the mid-late 1970s.
What a classic. Yes its true, " Nights are forever without your loved ones" Aptly said 😢
I remember my heart being broken as a teen and how this song was so important to me at that time. Timeless.
My favorite song from this eminently talented duo. The harmonies are on par with The Bee Gees and ABBA. I can play this on a loop for hours
How I miss GOOD music. They just don't make them like this anymore.......sad!
What a phenomenal classic 70’s song!
A song I never get sick of listening to!!👍

Excellent all around. But those harmonized lead guitar solos are out of this world 🎸 All time favorite.

I have to imagine all the great romantics of the 1970s knew their EDJFC. It’s like a handbook.
