DIY $2 Clothes Pin Snowflake Ornaments Using Dollar Tree Items (70)

- In this video I share how to make inexpensive snowflake ornaments using Dollar Tree clothes pins, wood glue and some embellishments from Dollar Tree. I make 3 varieties of the snowflake using Waverly chalk paint on 2. The colors of paint I used were white and serenity blue. The third snowflake I left natural and embellished with a Dollar Tree natural ornament. These ornaments average less than $2 to make. A package of clothes pins contains 36 pieces so you should be able to make 4 ornaments. Some of the Dollar Tree ornaments I used come 2 to a pack making some of the embellishments .50 cents! This price does not include the paint, wood glue, ribbon or jewelry I already had in my craft supplies. I add hangers using ribbons and twine that can be purchased from Dollar Tree also. These are great to make for gifts or to use as holiday decor throughout your home or on your tree. These are really easy and affordable to make! Hope you enjoy the video. Please share it with your friends, like and subscribe to our channel!
I got my inspiration for this DIY from c_bette_comme_chou on Instagram. Make sure to go over and follow her for some great home decor and DIY inspirations!

These pieces are beautiful. I love the vintage jewelry. I love the watch Christmas tree. Great idea.
Thanks so much, Marcia! I love vintage jewelry and have always wanted to make a tree out of some. I love old watches and they are actually pretty easy to find at thrift stores and yard sales so this was a fun project. Thanks for watching and so glad you enjoyed the video. Happy Holidays!

Hey Girl! Yours turned out great too. So glad you made them and I know you will enjoy them during the holidays. I still need to hang mine up somewhere. I'm running out of room for Christmas decor :) But no worries, I will find some place to add more!! Will talk to you soon!
Use hot glue and e600 to glue on the snowflakes and jewellery.
Love your snowflakes you added a special touch

Thanks, Jodi! You need to make these also. Easy and fun project. I hope I have time to make more of them. Time is running out though and I've got to quit crafting as much and get my shopping finished! See you soon!
These are beautiful! Found your channel in my Home feed yesterday. I have been watching it for approximately 14 hours. We have very similar taste. I am writing out my shopping list to get started. Could you please tell us what area of Alabama you are in? Nothing too specific just ballpark. I retired in Florida in August of 2019 (Orlando). My kids were here and they wanted me by them. I am from Dallas. Was so glad to hear your accent. Feels like home!! Thank you for all the wonderful ideas! 💗💗
Kathy so glad you found my channel and are enjoying my videos please share with your friends. I'm actually in NW Alabama between Huntsville and Florence. Thanks again!
THUMBS UP!
Thanks, Joan!
Those are beautiful! I use Gorilla wood glue on mine. The problem I have had is finding the jewels you put in the center. None of the 5 Dollar Trees around me have any embellishments like those.
Thanks for watching and you're right, Gorilla glue works great also. I hope you find some embellishments to make these! Merry Christmas!
@@OurGreeneAcres thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄🎅🔔❄🎅🎁🎄🎅🎉🎊🎄🎅🔔❄
Where do you buy the vintage jewelry?
Hey Marcia, I usually pick it up at local thrift stores, estate or yard sales. Sometimes it's harder to find but if you can happen up on a good yard sale, you can find some good pieces. Currently, I have a local thrift store that has a big variety of it so I've been lucky. Thanks for watching!
