I live in Poringland just outside Norwich, one of these noisy beggars woke us up last night at 1:30 am barking up a storm at the end of my garden 🙄 I suppose I should be pleased they are still flourishing despite all the building going on round here.
A male munjac attacked a friends dog after it cornered it! The sharp fang like teeth, sliced open the dogs back...the vet said it looked like it had been sliced by a knife!!! Who would have though that these deer could do that?
If the dog was so out of control that it chased and cornered a deer, that was the owner's fault. The deer was defending itself from a predator. I'll bet the dog didn't try that one again!
My two keeshonds raced after one of these ,as i read up later, rather nasty animals when they have young.I'm glad they lost it and eventually came back. Thanks for this recording,I know when the deer are around and keep the girls on the lead :)
Got lots of them here , would not be so bad if they did not set off the Local dogs . I have 7 dogs within 30 yards . Try sleeping with that racket going on .
I hate the little effers they randomly eat any plant in my garden and make this noise. Fortunately I have a balcony and a catapult and some ball bearings.
Has been doing my head in what the hell woke us up at 5am the other day. Freaked me right out! Turns out it was this little beastie!
So cute. We have these in our garden constantly. Tonight I could hear some barking and crashing around through our hedge, bless them haha.
Destructive little brutes that are destroying our woodlands by preventing all regrowth. The place for them is in the pot, very tasty indeed.
bliss
@@markashford827 bro they just wanna eat flowers man
That solves a mystery noise I keep hearing locally!
Same!
Same! Heard an animal again last night and thought thats not a fox. Immediately thought it sounded like a deer and this video confirms my suspicion.
Same here in Oulton, Suffolk. Thought I'd go online to find out.
Always heard these as a kid - never knew what it was until one appeared in our garden one day.
its a noice doggo
I have heard this noise in my built up village which joins Norwich. I assumed it was deer but this confirms it.
yep fishing near Norwich can hear one now!

Thanks for that, it's 1142pm and there's an unfamiliar sound outside... This video confirms it's a monkjack.
I have been hearing this in the night. Good to know what it is. Thank you
Same!
I have one screaming outside my room right now fml, now I know what it is and that it isn't some dying dog
Nice
There’s me thinking it was ol’ Black Shuck!
Noisy rascals tried waking me up last night with this.

A very odd crow, one which sounds like a muntjac deer!
Thank you that helped me alot
These fellas need to tone it down a bit. Always hear them really early in the morning.

Woah! And I saw one at the zoo, thought it was cute and reached out to touch it!
they bark and wield knives. thats a no no.
we were lucky in freeing one stuck in railings 2 days ago; poor thing was screaming, but must have realised we were trying to help
Anyone that knows them . Not the deer's fault.

They were doing this for about an hour last night!

self defence and protection of one's young is not the same as nastiness
@@mizofan You got there before me . Absolutely.
I came here to clarify the sound that I have been hearing
Cheers. I was trying to find out what that noise I was hearing was. It's just those pesky little creature that I love.
Try some earplugs?
not me sat here at 1am trying to figure out whether it’s a muncjack outside my house or a murder
Ahhhh! Finally, a scream for a system in turmoil.

What a strange Doggo.
Sounds a lot like a fox in heat.
They are cute but they do my head in. I hear them at night and it keeps me awake.
Lol, just set off the three lurchers and the wolfhound...

I've seen whitetail do this..
you don't hunt them do you?
Where I live they're a pest species so you can but you have to eat them.
If u get humans or muntjac.
Ok but why does the sound go on and off .. this seems kinda fake ngl
there was a lot of background noise as it was zoomed in so far to it, i just stuck it through a filter to drop it out. i can assure you it's not fake
@@nickfrewin I believe you
This deer is a pathetic goof.
